Abstract

Entertainment and visual contemplation equipment with rotating cabins and 360-degree radial and axial rotation, for installation on building roofs, cliffs, or abyssal geographical elevations. The aforementioned innovation is an entertainment and visual contemplation device consisting of rotating cabins with radial and axial rotation of 360 degrees, for installation on building roofs, cliffs or slopes of abyssal geographical elevations, composed of a support structure, from which a drive shaft projects vertically, which has a central rotor (6), from which an elongated rod extends to opposite sides (7 and 7A), one end supporting a counterweight (9) and the other end having a transverse radial rotation arm (10), containing cabins or baskets (13), like pendulum swings, which provide visitors and users with a unique sensation of entertainment and visual contemplation of that region or location, causing adrenaline and excitement at the edge of the abyss (3) or gaps (4) of building tops such as buildings or towers, allowing at the same time to enjoy a beautiful and privileged view, with touches of excitement and/or radicalism.

Claims (1)

  1. 1. “Entertainment and visual contemplation equipment with rotating cabins and 360-degree radial and axial rotation, for installation on building roofs, cliffs or slopes of abyssal geographical elevations”(1), characterized by the fact that it is composed of a base(2), structured at a point prior to a cliff slope(3) or top of a building(4), from which a vertical drive shaft(5) derives, which has a central rotor(6) at its top, and from said rotor(6) derives a pair of rods(7 and 7A) aligned in opposite ways and supported by guyed cables(8), and at the end of rod(7) are located counterweights(9) and at the end of rod(7A) is centrally located the transverse arm(10) driven by a geared motor(11); At the ends of the transverse arm (10), which rotates slowly and is of a pinwheel type, rings (12) are supported and articulated to support the cabins or baskets (13), which have appropriate side protections such as doors and parapets (14), among other devices against falls or unexpected accidents, such as locks (15), which act in conjunction with the boarding, movement, visual observation and disembarkation system.

Description

[001] The present invention relates to a visual entertainment and contemplation device consisting of rotating cabins with 360-degree radial and axial rotation, for installation on building roofs, cliffs or slopes of abyssal geographical elevations, composed of a support structure, from which a drive shaft projects vertically, which has a central rotor, from which an elongated rod extends to opposite sides, one end supporting a counterweight and the other end having a transverse arm with radial rotation, containing cabins or baskets, like pendulum swings, which provide visitors and users with a unique sensation of entertainment and visual contemplation of that region or location, causing adrenaline and excitement at the edge of the abyss or gaps on the tops of buildings or towers, allowing at the same time to enjoy a beautiful and privileged view, with touches of excitement and/or radicalism. [002] Currently there are a wide variety of amusement parks around the world, which are commonly built on large open plains, where various attractions are arranged, ranging from simple Ferris wheels to roller coasters, as well as themed rides, such as water attractions, wildlife rides, extreme rides, and more, all receiving adaptations to their terrain to imitate or create certain sensations. [003] Among these attractions, we can mention some rotating amusement equipment, such as carousels, known for having various riding items, including cars, rockets, horses and others, attached to a platform that rotates around a static vertical axis, forming a toy that attracts many children, but does not present any radical or adventurous sensation. [004] Another well-known rotating attraction is the Ferris wheel, which has a horizontal axis and a structure that rotates in a wide radius, taking its passengers to great heights; however, this equipment is very limited in terms of its speed, making it also a ride for light activities. [005] Furthermore, such conventional attractions have artificial characteristics, since they are assembled from constructions and adaptations made by man, attempting to imitate natural environments, which, despite often being well executed, could never replace their real counterparts. [006] In another aspect, there are observation points commonly found in cities, which usually carry the name of viewpoints, being places where their visitors can enjoy a beautiful view at considerable heights, however these models also do not entail any radical sensation in their entertainment, being calm and tranquil environments. [007] Considering these and other limitations regarding entertainment equipment of this kind, a visual entertainment and contemplation device was developed using rotating cabins with 360-degree radial and axial rotation, for installation on building roofs, cliffs, or slopes of abyssal geographical elevations, with the aim of having an advanced structure for radical visual contemplation, through articulated mobile cabins or baskets supported at the ends of a drive arm, which provides a slow, controlled rotation transverse to the central horizontal axis of this equipment, in order to provide users and visitors with a unique sensation of entertainment, causing adrenaline and excitement at the edge of an abyss or the top of a building, consequently enjoying a beautiful and privileged view. [008] Another objective of the innovation in question is to provide entertainment and visual contemplation equipment with rotating cabins and 360-degree radial and axial rotation, for installation on building roofs, cliffs or slopes of abyssal geographical elevations, in which the central movable horizontal axis can provide a controlled axial rotation of up to 360 degrees, making it possible to pick up people at the public access on land or at the safe part of a building top and then move them through the cabins or baskets to the free part of a cliff or gap in a building, allowing the cabins or baskets to initiate a radial rotation at an appropriate speed by the transverse arm, like a weathervane, through a motor controlled by appropriate safety devices and systems. [009] Another objective of the innovation in question is to provide entertainment and visual contemplation equipment that allows total control of the rotation and/or eventual stops of the transverse arm, through a relevant geared motor, for appreciation of the view and/or to cause a certain emotion through the pendulum swing generated by the slight inertia of the ring. [010] Another objective of the innovation in question is to provide entertainment and visual contemplation equipment that has a structural counterweight on the movable horizontal axis, with stay cables adapting to the said counterweight and the transverse arm. [011] Another objective of the innovation in question is to provide entertainment and visual contemplation equipment that has cabins with appropriate side protections such as parapets, among other devices against falls or unexpected
