BR-102024017608-A2 - IMPROVEMENT IN TANK SUPPORT
Abstract
An improvement in support for flat-bottomed tanks is described, comprising a body of polymeric material, provided with protrusions (111) and (112) on the lower face that serve as an additional reservoir or as ballast and providing means of fitting for palletizing, presenting an inclination that favors the total drainage of the liquid stored in the vertical or horizontal flat-bottomed tank (T) or periodic drainage, achieving the same operating conditions and efficiency as conical-bottomed tanks.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION [01] The present invention patent describes an improvement in support for flat-bottomed tanks, vertical or horizontal, which has protrusions that serve as an additional reservoir or as ballast and fitting means for palletizing, having an inclination that favors the total drainage of the liquid stored in the tank or periodic drainage, achieving the same operating conditions and efficiency as conical-bottomed tanks. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [02] Tanks that store fluids are widely used in various areas, such as in industry and agricultural activities, accounting for a large part of the packaging used for cargo transport and storage. [03] These tanks, with vertical or horizontal volume, provide greater safety and speed in logistics operations, having different volumetric capacities and specifications to meet transportation or storage needs. [04] Basically, two types of tanks are foreseen. Flat-bottom tanks are used for storing products that do not require complete drainage. Conical-bottom tanks are used in applications that require complete drainage of the stored product or in operations that require periodic drainage of the bottom. [05] Thus, in order to obtain total drainage of the product stored in flat-bottomed tanks, metal supports are used which, apart from the high cost of the material employed, serve only and exclusively to support the tank. [06] In this way, the Applicant has developed an improvement in support for flat-bottomed tanks comprising a body of polymeric material, provided with protrusions on the lower face that serve as an additional reservoir or as ballast and providing means of fitting for palletizing, presenting an inclination that favors the total drainage of the liquid stored in the tank or periodic drainage, achieving the same operating conditions and efficiency as conical-bottomed tanks. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES [07] Figure 1A shows a perspective view of the support, Figure 1B shows a cutaway view and Figure 1C shows a detailed view of the valve for supplying the tank support. [08] Figure 2A shows the support positioned at the base of a flat-bottomed tank, Figure 2B shows the bottom view and Figure 2C shows an example of attaching the support to the tank. SUMMARY [09] The invention describes an improvement in support for flat-bottomed tanks, said support being made of polymeric material, with high resistance and durability to weathering. [010] The invention describes an improvement in tank support that provides for the complete emptying of tanks. [011] The invention describes an improvement in tank support that can be used as an additional means of filling liquids. [012] The invention describes an improvement in tank supports that can be filled with liquids to provide an additional ballast function. [013] The invention describes a stackable support, facilitating storage and logistics operations, and with interlocking means for palletization. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [014] The improvement in tank support, object of the present invention, comprises a prismatic body, which can assume different shapes, manufactured in polymeric material, preferably by rotomolding. [015] The prismatic body has an upper face (10) with a through hole (101) generally centered and a periphery with an arrangement of projections with eyelets (102). [016] On the lower face (11) of the prismatic body (10) are arranged peripheral projections (111), intermediate projections (112) and projections (113) arranged on the periphery of the concentric through hole (101), said projections (111), (112) and (113) having equal or similar height measurement in order to guarantee the stability of the support. The arrangement of the peripheral (111) and intermediate (112) projections configures fittings for palletization. [017] The peripheral projections (111) have distinct height measurements, so that the prismatic body (10) has an inclination α to favor the flow of the tank (100). [018] The peripheral (111) and intermediate (112) shafts can be used as an additional reservoir to increase the cargo volume or to serve as ballast, in situations where a solid base is required to withstand external adversities. [019] As shown in figure 1C, the peripheral protrusions (111) have supply nozzles (111a) and the intermediate protrusions (112) have supply nozzles (112a), said protrusions (111) and (112) can be filled to increase the volume stored in the tank or to store a product different from that stored in the tank. [020] The flat-bottomed tank (T) is positioned on the upper face (10) of the support, so that the outlet valve (v) located at the base of said tank (T) is aligned with the through hole (101). The drain pipe (td) is installed on the outlet valve (v), kept parallel to the support surface and positioned between the protrusions (113) located on the periphery of the concentric through hole (101), as shown in figure 2B. [021] The prismatic body (10) can be associated with the tank (100) by mean
