Description

[001] The present invention relates to agricultural equipment, and more particularly to a gravity-fed seed drill/fertilizer applicator capable of achieving substantially reduced transport dimensions, in particular its transport width, to allow its transport on highways. The equipment in question also enjoys reduced dimensions in the operating position, greater maneuverability and greater capacity to absorb the stresses arising from its operation. Description of the State of the Art [002] Large-sized/wide-working-width seeders/fertilizer applicators, and in particular seeders/fertilizer applicators with gravity-fed fertilizer deposition, are increasingly in demand for higher operational efficiency and increased productivity. [003] Models with 2, 3 or more interconnected chassis sections are known and have means of folding the side sections, usually forward, so that these side sections are parallel to each other and allow a reduction in the total width. Planting row units of these seeders may also have pivoting movement for elevation and gain in reducing the transport width of the equipment. [004] Known seeders/fertilizer applicators, even those equipped with planting row elevation (e.g., PI0204906; US8733256 and BR202013003022-3; among others), are still too wide (width between points up to 6 meters wide) and oversized for placement on cargo vehicles, which have a usable width of 3.2 meters in accordance with the usual width of the roads on which agricultural equipment is transported. [005] The difficulty in reducing the transport width of these seeders becomes even greater when they are equipped with reservoirs for gravity-fed fertilizer distribution, in addition to the seed reservoirs. In this situation, said reservoirs occupy considerable space/volume and even prevent further reduction in the width of the equipment for transport on narrow paths or even for loading onto a cargo vehicle or storage. Objectives of the Invention [006] A primary objective of the present invention is to provide agricultural equipment whose width in a transport position is suitable for its transit on roads or for its transport in cargo vehicles. [007] A second objective of the present invention is to provide agricultural equipment equipped with a folding mechanism for its side sections that allows for a reduced width transport position. [008] A third objective of the present invention is to provide agricultural equipment comprising a mechanism for stacking and rotating the tool lines and input reservoir in order to reduce its transport width. [009] A fourth objective of the present invention is to provide agricultural equipment comprising a locking mechanism that prevents the tool lines from falling onto the input reservoir during pivoting of the equipment to the transport position. [0010] A fifth objective of the present invention is to provide agricultural equipment whose head includes telescopic functionality. [0011] A sixth objective of the present invention is to provide agricultural equipment whose head is articulated and has a folding function in relation to the structure of the agricultural equipment. Brief Description of the Invention [0012] The present invention relates to an agricultural equipment comprising a folding mechanism having at least one first lateral section rotatably associated with a first central bearing and at least one second lateral section rotatably associated with a second central bearing, the folding mechanism comprising at least one first actuator associated with the first lateral section, the folding mechanism comprising at least one second actuator associated with the second lateral section, each actuator being associated with one of the central bearings through a pivot point and being configured to selectively rotate its respective lateral section relative to its respective central portion to configure at least one of a working position and a transport position of the agricultural equipment, the first and second actuators being arranged crossed and overlapping each other and the pivot points being arranged off-center from each other. [0013] In one possible configuration, the first and second actuators are arranged crossed and superimposed on each other by associating the first actuator with the second central bearing and associating the second actuator with the first central bearing. [0014] In another possible configuration, the central bearings are arranged adjacent to each other and each comprises a shaft, the shafts being arranged at a distance of less than 1 meter from each other. [0015] In another possible configuration, the axes are arranged at a distance between 0.30 meters and 0.65 meters from each other. [0016] In another possible configuration, the axes are arranged at a distance of between 0.45 meters and 0.55 meters from each other. [0017] In another possible configuration, the axes are arranged at a distance of between 0.50 meters and 0.55 meters from each other. [0018] The present
