BR-202021013307-Y1 - TURNSTILE GATE
Abstract
TOURNIQUET HOLDER. The present utility model refers to a tourniquet holder, particularly, a portable accessory for storing the tourniquet in a clean and easily accessible compartment when necessary, which can be adapted to the clothing of the person or professional who uses this instrument, being formed by a rear base (2) composed inferiorly of a support (3) that supports and allows angular displacement of the front drawer (4), wherein, the front face of said drawer (4) and the rear face of the base (2) have channels (5), through which elastic wires (6) are passed that generate a slight opposing force to the opening of said drawer (4) so that the tourniquet (7) is slightly compressed when stored.

Description
[001] The present invention relates to a tourniquet holder, in particular, a portable accessory for storing the tourniquet in a clean and easily accessible compartment when needed, which can be adapted to the clothing of the person or professional who uses this instrument to control bleeding and keep the person alive until they are treated in case of a serious accident. [002] As is known by professionals in the field of medical care and first responders, a tourniquet is an instrument that can save lives or prevent greater harm to the injured person in a traumatic event, and it must be in working order and, logically, in the presence of a person who is qualified or knowledgeable about its correct use. [003] Tourniquets can also be purchased by anyone for use in situations of potential accidents with bleeding, especially for practitioners of extreme competitions, mountaineering, cycling, among other situations where some type of accident may occur due to their dangerousness or due to some unforeseen event. [004] Generally, when you buy a tourniquet, it doesn't come with a bag or case specifically designed for transport, storage, portability, and flexibility for quick handling; that is, it is purchased and delivered in simple packaging that comes from the factory, but it has no functionality beyond enclosing the product. [005] Conversely, the person ends up having to look for a bag, pouch or case to protect the tourniquet and be able to take it wherever it is needed, however, it is known that these only provide an accessory to keep it stored, without any possibility of optimizing its use, especially when it is used daily by first responders and agility is needed to remove it from the bag, unroll it and make it ready for application to the injured person. [006] Considering the difficulties encountered in everyday use, in terms of creating a technical and functional solution for storing tourniquets, the tourniquet holder was developed to provide an accessory for storing the tourniquet that perfectly fits the structure of this instrument for assisting accident victims, allowing it to be adapted to the clothing of the rescuer or person who will carry it, creating an accessory/enclosure for the tourniquet with defined functional characteristics and within the stages of care and/or use in situations of risk due to hemorrhagic accidents, preventing the victim from going into hypovolemic shock and dying due to delay in care. [007] Another objective of said innovation is to provide a tourniquet holder that has a differentiated opening and closing system that acts in conjunction with the vertical compartment, bay type, which receives the body of said tourniquet, creating an elastic compression mechanism, causing the bay to always be slightly compressed against the body of said tourniquet, but with a force that does not hinder its removal and does not make its relocation difficult, providing easy and quick handling, without interfering with the procedures for assisting the person with hemorrhage, avoiding greater damage to the health of the injured person. [008] Another objective of said innovation is to provide a turnstile gate that has a top locking tongue that has full opening and excellent flexibility, facilitating the procedures for removing the turnstile without causing jamming between the structures that are being moved. [009] Another objective of said innovation is to provide a turnstile holder that is lightweight, functional, resistant and has a reduced volume, not creating situations that might hinder any other procedures or simple walking. [010] For better definition and clarification of the invention in question, the following attached figures are provided, namely: Figure 1 - Perspective view of the turnstile gate, in its closed mode; Figure 2 - Perspective view of the turnstile gate, in its open mode; Figure 3 - Perspective view of the turnstile gate, in its open mode and exemplifying a turnstile contained therein; Figure 4 - Side view of the turnstile gate in its open mode; Figure 5 - Side view of the turnstile gate in its closed mode; Figure 6 - Front view of the turnstile gate in its closed mode; Figure 7 - Rear view of the turnstile gate in its closed mode; Figure 8 - Bottom view of the turnstile gate in its closed mode. [011] According to the illustrations specified above, said innovation is a turnstile holder (1), formed by a rear base (2) composed inferiorly of a support (3) that supports and allows angular displacement of the front drawer (4), wherein the front face of said drawer (4) and the rear face of the base (2) have channels (5), through which elastic wires (6) are passed that generate a slight opposing force to the opening of said drawer (4) so that the turnstile (7) is slightly compressed when stored, reducing its volume and, at the same time, such compression does not hinder its removal from the turnstile holder (1). [012] Above the rear base(2) there is a head(8) from which an elongated fl
