Abstract

CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT IN KNIFE ROLLER. A constructive arrangement in knife roller is described comprising a rotating roller (10) with a central axis whose ends are mounted on a chassis driven by a tractor, having knife supports (20) with a vertex equipped with eyelet windows (22) and free ends welded to the surface of said rotating roller (10), the knife support (20) being formed from an elongated sheet bent longitudinally, forming a pair of opposing inclined areas (21) and a bend line (201) with the arrangement of eyelet windows (22), eliminating the need for welding the plates of said knife support (20), eliminating bottlenecks in the production line and speeding up the assembly process.

1. CONSTRUCTIONAL ARRANGEMENT IN KNIFE ROLLER comprising a rotating roller (10) with a central axis whose ends are mounted on a chassis driven by a tractor, having knife supports (20) with a vertex equipped with eyelet windows (22) and free ends welded to the surface of said rotating roller (10), characterized in that the knife support (20) comprises an elongated sheet bent longitudinally, forming a pair of inclined areas in opposition (21) and bend line (201) with the arrangement of eyelet windows (22) with edge equipped with extension (202).

Description

[01] The present utility model describes a constructive arrangement in a knife roller. More specifically, it comprises a knife roller equipped with knife supports in the form of an elongated longitudinal plate bent longitudinally, forming a triangular structure that is fixed to the roller by welding and having at the vertex the arrangement of eyelets for fixing the knives by screwing. [02] The knife roller is a tractor-drawn implement that aims to flatten vegetation cover, manage vegetation and surface crop residues, protecting the soil and increasing moisture retention. By means of knives arranged on a roller, the plant material is crushed or broken up, so as to leave the ground cover uniform. [03] Basically, knife rollers comprise a roller with bearings at the ends and which rotates synchronously with the wheels of the towing vehicle, said roller having a plurality of steel knives, generally arranged in a staggered manner. [04] Steel blades comprise a steel plate that is fixed to a support welded to the body of the rotating roller, in order to allow the blade to be replaced in case of damage or wear. [05] Document MU6501837 describes a roller-knife device for agricultural machinery comprising a cylindrical surface incorporating a plurality of radial knives fixed to corresponding welded angle brackets. [06] Document MU9000818 describes blades attached to the outer face of the cylindrical chamber with the aid of welded triangular ribs. [07] Welding the knife support to the roller surface is a time-consuming activity and, in the production process, creates a bottleneck in the production line. [08] Thus, in order to provide a functional improvement in manufacturing, the present utility model is the object of a knife roller equipped with knife supports in the form of an elongated longitudinal plate bent longitudinally, forming a triangular structure whose free ends are fixed to the surface of the roller by welding, and having at the vertex of the elongated plate the arrangement of eyelets for fixing the knives by screwing. [09] In order to better describe the constructive arrangement in knife roller, the following figures are presented: [010] Figure 1A shows a perspective view of the roller with the knife support arrangement, Figure 1B shows a side view and Figure 1C shows a cross-sectional view highlighting the knife support attachment. [011] Figure 2A shows a perspective view of the knife holder, Figure 2B shows a side view, and Figure 2C shows a detailed view of the knife holder's attachment to the roller surface. [012] The constructive arrangement in knife roller, object of the present utility model, comprises a rotating roller (10) with a central axis whose ends are mounted on a chassis driven by a tractor, as is conventional in agricultural equipment. [013] On the rotating roller (10) are fixed knife supports (20) comprising an elongated plate bent longitudinally, forming a pair of opposing inclined areas (21), the free end of the elongated plate (20) being fixed to the surface of the rotating roller (10) by welding. On the bend line (201) of the elongated plate (10) are arranged windows with eyelets (22) where the knives are screwed, having on the edge of said windows with eyelets (22) the arrangement of an extension (202). [014] The elongated plates (10) are distributed on the rotating roller (10) aligned or misaligned, occupying the entire surface of the roller or being fixed in segments.
