Description

TECHNICAL FIELD [001] This utility model patent application pertains to the bedding, table and bath linens segment, and refers more specifically to a pillow-top mattress cover, which notably has a fastening to the mattress, which in turn completely encloses the mattress. This application allows it to be removed from the mattress whenever necessary, without becoming detached from the mattress. Said pillow-top, in addition to protecting the mattress, remains positioned and aligned with the mattress, maintaining its effective fixation, without loosening over time. HISTORY OF THE TECHNIQUE [002] A pillow-top is a specific type of mattress that stands out for having an extra layer of padding on top, providing a feeling of softness and comfort. This additional layer is made of materials such as memory foam, latex, or other soft fillings, which offer a smoother surface when lying down. [003] This type of mattress was created to meet the growing demand for more comfortable products that relieve pressure on sensitive areas of the body, such as shoulders and hips. The extra layer of padding helps distribute weight more evenly, reducing pressure points and providing a more comfortable sleep. [004] In addition to comfort, the pillow-top is also an aesthetic innovation, as it gives the mattress a more luxurious appearance, with the top appearing fuller and fluffier. Its existence is also justified by the need for differentiation in the highly competitive mattress market. The introduction of the pillow-top has allowed brands to offer a product that combines firm support with softness, attracting an audience that seeks a more personalized sleep experience adaptable to different preferences. State of the Art Analysis [005] We can currently find a wide variety of pillow-top models on the market. Research conducted in specialized databases revealed documents such as document number PI 0101759-4, which deals with a "MATTRESS WITH PILLOW TOP," a utility model patent for a mattress with a "pillow top." This pillow top comprises a fabric covering 1, where a "quilted" pattern is applied to the fabric, joining a layer of acrylic batting for padding 2, a layer of polyurethane foam 3, and a non-woven fabric (TNT) 4, sewing them together in a strip of fabric laterally 5, joined by a layer of non-woven fabric (TNT) 6, thus forming a single layer secured at its edge by a fabric bias tape 7, thus constructing the "pillow top" 11, which will be sewn onto a strip of "quilted" fabric on the side of the mattress 10, joined by a bias tape 8, thus covering a polyurethane foam, or latex foam, or spring (wired steel), etc., which is the The actual body of the mattress is shaped as follows: 9, and then repeat steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, thus creating the shape of the mattress with a "pillow top" on both the top and bottom, when the mattress is laid flat. The "pillow top" gives the appearance of a quilted blanket placed over the mattress, making it softer and more comfortable. [006] Document No. MU 9102965-1, which deals with a “CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT IN MATTRESS”, refers to the object of this patent as a set (01), consisting of a mattress (02) and a pillow top (03). [007] Although the present solutions exist, they are fixed to the mattress, which in turn does not allow replacement without replacing the entire mattress, and vice versa, making them high-cost solutions, making them unsuitable for all audiences. [008] We can find pillow tops, which are placed on mattresses by means of elastic bands at the ends, hugging the edges of the mattress, or having straps dependent on specific buttons on the mattress, as we can observe in document no. US6016582A which deals with an “AIR SUPPORT PILLOW TOP ASSEMBLY”, an inflatable pillow top includes a fabric cover with an inflatable bladder contained within it. The inflatable bladder is coextensive with the fabric cover and the mattress to which it is attached. The bladder can be inflated by a conventional air pump with a pressure control or it can be self-inflating. The self-inflating bladder includes a compressible foam material that fills the bladder and has memory to return to an expanded condition. An inlet valve in the bladder allows air to enter the bladder as the foam material expands, thus filling the bladder with air. An exhaust valve is provided to allow adjustment of the air pressure inside the bladder. [009] However, the current solutions still have features that, over time, wear out and become loose on top of the mattress, which in turn ends up misaligning them, causing discomfort to users. [010] Thus, it is a fact that the documents cited in the paragraphs above, despite belonging to the same field of application, do not present any of the characteristics of the object now improved, thus guaranteeing that it meets the legal requirements for patentability. BRIEF DESCRIPTION [011] Taking into account all the problems that have been presented in the state of the art, the inventor, who has
