Description
Connection terminal Technical Field The present invention relates to a connection terminal. Background In the related art, a connector (charging socket) provided in a vehicle such as an electric vehicle or a plug-in hybrid vehicle has been used to supply electric power (charge) from the outside of the vehicle to a battery mounted on the vehicle. In this connector, it is necessary to increase the current to increase the capacity of the mounted power storage device, shorten the charging time, and the like. However, when the current increases, the temperature of the connector increases due to heat generated at the terminal connection portion of the connector by energization. Therefore, among connectors including terminal connection portions such as a charging jack, connectors capable of preventing a temperature rise during energization have been proposed (for example, see patent documents JP2019-197641A and JP 2020-187920A). The connector disclosed in the above-mentioned prior art includes a terminal having a base portion connected to an electric wire, and a tubular portion extending away from the base portion and having an outer peripheral surface in contact with a mating terminal of a mating connector. The heat transfer member (latent heat storage material) is sealed in an enclosed space (sealed space) defined by the inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion. The heat transfer member absorbs a part of heat generated at the tubular portion during conduction between the terminal and the counterpart terminal from the tubular portion, and transfers the absorbed heat to the base portion. Therefore, the temperature rise of the heat generating portion of the terminal can be effectively prevented. The connector disclosed in the other prior art described above includes a terminal having a holding portion integrally formed with a terminal connection portion and an electric wire connection portion, and a heat accumulator held by the holding portion. The heat accumulator includes a heat accumulating material (latent heat accumulating material) accommodated inside a casing (sealed space) held by a holding portion. The heat storage material is capable of absorbing heat generated in the terminal. Therefore, the temperature of the terminal can be prevented from rapidly rising. However, in order to seal the heat transfer member in the closed space of the terminal in the connector disclosed in the former prior art, after the heat transfer member is accommodated in the tubular portion, the base portion or the blocking portion needs to be joined to the open end of the bottomed tubular portion to be blocked, so that sealing of the heat transfer member is difficult. Further, in the connector disclosed in the latter prior art, in order to hold the heat storage material in the holding portion of the terminal, after the heat storage material is accommodated in the housing main body, the cover needs to be welded and fixed to block the opening of the bottomed tubular housing main body, so that sealing of the heat storage material is difficult. Disclosure of Invention Exemplary aspects of the presently disclosed subject matter provide a connection terminal in which a latent heat storage material is easily sealed in a sealed space of the terminal. According to an exemplary aspect of the presently disclosed subject matter, a connection terminal includes a terminal connection portion configured to be electrically connected to a counterpart terminal, an electric wire connection portion configured to be electrically connected to an electric wire, a holding portion provided between the terminal connection portion and the electric wire connection portion and configured to be held by a housing, a sealing space formed in the holding portion, a latent heat storage material and a gas sealed in the sealing space, a sealing hole that communicates the sealing space with a space outside the connection terminal, and a plug member configured to block the sealing hole. Other aspects and advantages of the disclosed subject matter will be apparent from the following description, drawings, and claims.
