A vehicle window assembly comprising a vehicle window glass and an outer panel assembly, the outer panel assembly comprising a substrate and at least one first structural member, the substrate being attached to an edge of the vehicle window glass, the substrate comprising an outer surface facing outwardly of the vehicle, the first structural member being attached to the outer surface of the substrate, and at least a portion of the first structural member being raised or recessed relative to the substrate, the optical properties of the substrate being different from the optical properties of the first structural member, the optical properties including object color, gloss, refraction of light, absorption of light; The outer surface of the base plate is concavely provided with a first groove, the first structural member is connected with the first groove, a part of the first structural member is positioned in the first groove, and the other part of the first structural member protrudes relative to the base plate; The exterior trimming panel assembly further comprises a spacer, wherein the spacer is arranged between the first structural member and the substrate, one end of the spacer is connected with the substrate, and the other end of the spacer is connected with the first structural member.
