Description

Sealing interface, air dryer cartridge and air treatment device Technical Field The invention relates to a sealing interface for sealing between at least one desiccant container of at least one air dryer cartridge of a vehicle, in particular a utility vehicle, and a base, with at least one first housing structure, at least one second housing structure, and at least one sealing element. The invention further relates to an air dryer cartridge for an air treatment device of a vehicle, in particular a utility vehicle, having at least one sealing interface as described above. The invention further relates to an air treatment device for a vehicle, in particular a utility vehicle, having at least one air dryer cartridge as described above. Background In the field of vehicles, in particular utility or commercial vehicles, pneumatic systems are commonly used for braking, suspension and other auxiliary systems, wherein the distribution of air is handled by a multi-circuit protection valve which can divide the air supplied by a compressor or similar device and handle the different opening and closing pressures, pressure limits and circuit protection of the various circuits. An important measure before controlling the pressurized air in this way is to dry this air provided by the compressor (as it still contains atmospheric humidity). This drying procedure is achieved by arranging an air dryer cartridge between the compressor and the multi-circuit protection valve, so that dry and de-oiled air can be supplied to the multi-circuit protection valve. Such conventional air dryer cartridges are known in the art. DE3208561A1 discloses an air dryer with a connection housing, on which a cap-shaped container is mounted, which can accommodate a dryer cartridge. To facilitate replacement of the dryer cartridge, a clamping bracket is used which is rotatably mounted on the housing and which is rotatable on the container and fixed in place. DE69210614T2 discloses an air dryer control system in which compressed air output by a compressor is dried by one of two parallel air dryers. The cleaning and drying cycles of the air dryer are alternated by timing and relay means. EP0933117A1 discloses a reversing valve for a gas drying system that cleans and dries an unpurified pressurized gas stream received from its source and supplies the gas stream to a pneumatic system using such purified pressurized air. The valve includes a housing that connects the drying assembly to a structure that delivers raw pressurized air to the drying assembly. EP2448801A1 discloses an air dryer cartridge for a compressed air treatment system of a vehicle, in particular a commercial vehicle, comprising a spring cover and a carrier element, which together define a volume of the air dryer cartridge in the assembled state, wherein a dryer cartridge arranged in the volume and filled with a drying agent is provided. US5,901,464A to a twin tower air drying system for cleaning and drying an unpurified pressurized air stream comprising a centrifugal separator having a horizontally disposed baffle to substantially divide a centrifugal chamber into an upper subchamber and a lower chamber, a pair of chambers each containing a desiccant medium and a purge tube, a flapper valve positioned over the purge tube to close and restrict air flow through the purge tube when air flows upwardly through the chambers, and to open and promote air flow through the purge tube when air flows downwardly through the chambers. US5,961,698A discloses a dual tower gas drying system for cleaning and drying a raw pressurized gas stream received from a source thereof for use with a pneumatic system. The drying system includes a manifold block provided with a plurality of ports. A separator and a liquid tank are connected to such a block and one of the ports for initially separating moisture and particulates from such a raw gas stream and directing the remainder of the gas stream to one of the ports in the block. Basically, according to the prior art, the sealing between the desiccant container and the air dryer cartridge containing the desiccant container is solved by a number of different sealing elements. One major aspect of the interaction between the desiccant container and the air dryer cartridge is the relative axial movement, even in the final installed state, due to the different operating conditions of the present utility vehicle and cartridge, such as vibration, temperature differential, humidity, and the necessity of pre-tensioning the desiccant within the desiccant container. As a result, a large amount of component and installation space and unintentional sealing problems occur. Disclosure of Invention It is therefore an object of the present invention to improve the above-described sealing interface and air dryer cartridge, in particular to simplify the structure and function, to provide better sealing performance and to make the sealing interface and air dryer cartridge easy to insta
