A temporary stair is characterized by comprising two steel pipes which are arranged in parallel and inclined, an adapter, a vertical rod and a cross rod are arranged along the two steel pipes in pairs, the main body of the adapter is a ring buckle, the ring buckle is detachably arranged on the steel pipes, a screw rod is fixedly arranged on one side of the ring buckle, nuts are matched on the screw rod, screw rod holes are formed in one ends of the vertical rod and the cross rod, waist holes are formed in the other ends of the vertical rod and the cross rod, stair plates are arranged between two adjacent pairs of the adapter, at the installation position of each stair plate, the upper end of each stair plate is hinged with a screw rod on the upper layer through the screw rod holes and is clamped and connected with the waist holes of the cross rod through a bolt assembly, the screw rod holes of the cross rod are hinged with the screw rod on the lower layer and are prevented from falling through the nuts, at least two square pipes span and are connected to the cross rods on the two sides through metal wires, the bottom surface of each stair plate is supported by screws or air nails, and the rear side surfaces of each stair plate are propped against the two sides of the vertical rod.

- 4. Temporary stairway according to claim 1, characterised in that the maximum inclination angle of the steel pipe is 45 °.

A method for installing a temporary stairway according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the overall height and horizontal length of the temporary stairway are determined according to the environment of the site, the number of stairway plates is determined, the number of the transfer pieces, the vertical rods, the cross bars, the bolt assemblies and the square tubes are determined, then the transfer pieces are installed along the steel tubes, the vertical rods and the cross bars are connected to the transfer pieces along the line, then the transfer pieces are fastened after the transfer pieces are adjusted to proper intervals and positions, then the vertical rods and the cross bars are connected through the bolt assemblies, after the cross bars are adjusted to be horizontal, the bolt assemblies are fastened, then the square tubes are transversely supported and connected to the cross bars on two sides through metal wires, finally the bottom surfaces of the stairway plates are supported and connected to the square tubes through screws or air nails, and the rear sides of the stairway plates are abutted to the vertical rods on two sides.
