A method for replacing a crankshaft of a hot rolling SSP width-fixing machine is characterized by comprising the following steps: Step one, dismantling an inner block frame, mounting a transition lining plate at the top of the inner block frame, dismantling an oil pipe and a water pipe connected in the inner block frame, loosening a connecting pin between balance cylinders in the inner block frame, dismantling a cutworm and a sliding rail in the inner block frame, and transversely moving and hanging the inner block frame away; Step two, dismantling an outer block frame, mounting an excessive lining plate on the top of the outer block frame, adopting a chain block to hold a crank, dismantling a crank hook head, dismantling an oil pipe and a water pipe connected in the outer block frame, loosening a connecting pin between balance cylinders in the outer block frame, dismantling a worm transmission universal shaft of a width adjusting mechanism, adopting the chain block to move the outer block frame and pass through the center side, and hoisting the outer block frame out of a window of a frame of the width fixing machine by utilizing a crane; step three, manufacturing an overhaul platform, a V-shaped bracket and stool legs, wherein the overhaul platform is formed by arranging rails and stairs by steel plates, and the stool legs are propped against a crankshaft through a support bolt; Step four, dismantling a crankshaft, hoisting an overhaul platform at the position of a crankshaft assembly, installing a fence, dismantling a crank mechanism of the crankshaft assembly and oil pipes and water pipes affecting hoisting of the crankshaft, dismantling a catch bolt of the crankshaft, hoisting a V-shaped bracket to be fixed on a crank bearing seat, installing stool feet and adjusting a support bolt to prop against the crankshaft, dismantling a half-half fixing frame for fixing the crank bearing seat, dismantling a girder support at the operation side of a width fixing machine, and hoisting the crankshaft by adopting a crane; step five, cleaning a mill housing, and sequentially reinstalling a crankshaft, an outer block frame and an inner block frame; and step six, measuring and adjusting the synchronous position of the crankshaft, the arc-shaped plate and the sector-shaped tooth gap.
