Description

Planting machine for rhizome crops Technical Field The invention relates to a planter for root crops, preferably potatoes, having a frame, at least one storage container for fertilizer, at least one planting device and at least one hopper for seeds to be planted, wherein the frame extends between a coupling element at the front and a ground support at the rear, in particular made up of one or more wheels. Background Growing machines according to the preamble of claim 1 have been equipped with more and more technology in recent years. Therefore, maintenance of these planters is increasingly complex. Therefore, it is necessary to plan more and more time for performing maintenance, especially in order to be able to correctly inspect the inaccessible parts. Disclosure of Invention The object of the present invention is to improve the maintenance of a planter of this type, which is especially provided for planting four, six or even more rows of potato seeds. This object is achieved by the subject matter according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention emerge from the dependent claims which refer back to the claims and the description below. The planter according to the invention has a frame which forms at least one service area between the storage container and the planting device and/or between the hopper and the planting device, which is accessible from one side of the planter and in particular can be stepped on, and which is configured in the form of at least one open space extending from the base. The maintenance area is accessible if the maintenance area has an open entrance height of at least 90cm from the horizontal ground. For example, a crawling channel is accessible if the height of the crawling channel into which maintenance personnel can climb is at least 90 cm. The service area is stepping in if it has an open access with a height of at least 1.5m, preferably at least 1.7m from the ground. The service area can be open upwards and is especially high up to 3m. Stepping in means in particular that the maintenance person can enter the area from the side without having to climb any frame part, and is thus located inside the left and right side of the machine, seen in the longitudinal direction of the planting machine. Preferably, the at least one maintenance area is formed between a storage container for fertilizer on the one hand, with associated sowing means, and one or more planting means on the other hand. Preferably, the maintenance area is formed as the machine transitions to a maintenance state in which at least a portion of the frame is lifted. In this maintenance state, the frame forming the maintenance area is correspondingly configured higher so as to establish an open space. For example, the frame can be lifted partially for this purpose in that parts of the planter that can be moved relative to one another, in particular parts of the frame, are lifted strongly from the ground by at least one adjustment mechanism, for example by changing the chassis state or another ground support or by changing the longitudinal course of the frame by means of a height adjustment of the frame parts extending to the coupling elements. Although it is preferred that the maintenance area is formed solely by the planter, it is equally possible, in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, to form the maintenance area alternatively or additionally by lifting the planter by a tractor. Preferably, this height adjustment is performed at the planter side by varying a combination of the ground support and the height adjustment of the frame portion with the coupling element coupled to the pulling structure. The frame defines an open space, for example upwards and/or on one side. The frame is elongated at least for maintenance conditions. The frame can be configured to be telescopic for this purpose, in particular with frame parts that can be moved within each other. Alternatively or additionally, the frame extends the length of this area compared to the prior art in order to create an open space, thereby extending the transition from the frame carrying the storage container to the frame part carrying the planting device, for example. To improve maintenance, disadvantages concerning reduced compactness are accepted. Preferably, one or more of the frame portions form a channel opening downwardly towards the base through which maintenance personnel can step into the open space. In particular, the functional elements of the planter can be fastened to the frame portion. The frame part or parts forming the channel are arranged in particular on one side of the machine and define an open space downwards and/or outwards when seen outwards from the service area. The frame part is generally understood to be a part which is configured as a carrying or supporting part of the planter, in particular of its substructure. The frame, in the case of a multi-strand frame, can, for example, laterally define an op
