Abstract
The invention discloses ZmSKI gene related to corn disease resistance and application thereof, belonging to the field of biotechnology. The invention identifies ZmSKI genes in corn for the first time, and proves that ZmSKI genes control the resistance of corn to curvularia leaf spot, particularly, the expression of ZmSKI genes is inhibited, the resistance of corn to curvularia leaf spot can be enhanced, and the over-expression of ZmSKI genes can weaken the resistance of corn to curvularia leaf spot. The ZmSKI gene mutation obtained by the invention obviously activates the disease-resistant immune response of corn, is a new corn disease-resistant breeding gene resource, and provides an important molecular target for breeding resistant corn.

Description
ZmSKI3 gene related to disease resistance of corn and application thereof Technical Field The invention relates to the technical field of biology, in particular to ZmSKI gene related to corn disease resistance and application thereof. Background Corn is one of three grain crops in China, but the diseases frequently occurring in recent years have great influence on the yield and quality of the corn, so that the cultivation of the disease-resistant variety of the corn is urgent. However, due to the lack of genetic resources for resistance used in maize breeding, the genetic basis is narrow, which is very detrimental to the breeding and molecular improvement of disease resistant varieties, and by obtaining and introducing disease resistant genes into the targeted maize line or variety has proven to be an effective approach. However, the lack of the disease-resistant gene of the corn makes the progress of disease-resistant breeding of the corn slow. Although some reports of corn resistance gene cloning and application exist at present, the demands of corn disease-resistant breeding resistance genes are far from being met. Therefore, the discovery of genes with resistance to different diseases is a problem to be solved in the current maize disease-resistant breeding. At present, the corn disease-resistant breeding lacks disease-resistant genes, particularly the curvularia leaf spot disease-resistant genes are particularly lacking, and the breeding development of corn disease-resistant molecules is hindered. Therefore, the identification of genes for regulating growth and disease resistance in corn has great significance for genetic improvement of corn disease resistance. Previous studies in humans, yeast, arabidopsis, and rice have shown that cofactors SKIs of the mRNA splice complex may play a very important role in growth and disease resistance. However, the genetic information of the SKIs cofactor of maize and its role in disease resistance and growth in maize is currently unknown. Disclosure of Invention The invention aims to provide ZmSKI gene related to corn disease resistance and application thereof, so as to solve the problems in the prior art, the invention firstly identifies ZmSKI gene of corn, verifies the function of negative regulation of corn curvularia leaf spot resistance of ZmSKI gene by using EMS mutant and transgenic technology, and provides new gene resources for corn disease resistance breeding.
