Description

SNP (Single nucleotide polymorphism) marker related to Duroc pig variety identification and application thereof Technical Field The invention relates to the fields of molecular biology and genetic breeding, in particular to an SNP marker related to Duroc pig variety identification and application thereof. Background The pig species widely raised in the livestock industry currently include Duroc, dulong and large ternary pigs (namely Duroc, long and large white pigs three-way hybridization offspring) and long and large binary pigs (namely long and large white pigs two-way hybridization offspring), wherein the Duroc pigs are known for the advantages of high growth speed, strong constitution, strong stress resistance and the like, and are widely used as terminal male parents in commercial pig breeding systems in China. In animal husbandry, pigs of different varieties have remarkable differences in growth speed, meat quality, reproductive capacity and the like, so that accurately distinguishing the varieties of the pigs has great significance in formulating scientific breeding strategies, optimizing breeding structures and improving economic benefits. Secondly, duroc, duchet and Duchet are taken as important economic pig breeds, and take up important roles in the pig industry, however, with the expansion of the breeding scale and the popularization of interspecies cross breeding, the situations of error and even loss of pedigree record often occur in production. The pig variety identification is a key link for ensuring the breeding benefit and genetic stability, and the traditional pig variety identification method mainly depends on morphological characteristics and physiological indexes such as body type, hair color, ear type, growth speed and the like, however, the methods are easily influenced by various factors such as environment, feeding condition, growth and development stage and the like, so that the identification result is inaccurate and stable. In addition, for young pigs or swine breeds with similar appearance characteristics, traditional methods tend to be difficult to distinguish effectively. Misjudgment slows down the genetic progress of the population, bringing greater breeding loss than loss of pedigree. Therefore, aiming at widely-raised pigs, it is important to develop an accurate, stable and efficient pig variety identification method. With the rapid development of molecular biology technology, a molecular marker technology based on Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) is gradually becoming a new means for identifying pig breeds. SNP refers to DNA sequence polymorphism caused by variation of single nucleotide at genome level, and has the advantages of large quantity, wide distribution, good genetic stability and the like. By detecting the genotype of a specific SNP locus, the accurate identification of the pig variety can be realized. In the pig genome, there are SNP loci associated with the breeds, and there are significant genotype differences between different breeds. The SNP marker provides a new technical means for pig variety identification, and has important application value and social benefit. The prior researches do not find SNP loci with completely different genotypes in Duroc, dulong and large ternary pigs and long and large binary pigs, so that variety identification can be performed only through a large number (more than 1000) of SNP loci with certain differences combined with a statistical model. Therefore, there is a need to develop SNP markers and identification methods thereof related to identification of Duroc, dulong ternary pigs and long binary pigs.
