Abstract

The application provides glass and a preparation method thereof, a glass assembly and application, wherein the glass comprises, by mass, 55% -75% of SiO 2 , 0% -10% of Al 2 O 3 , 0% -5% of TiO 2 , 5% -15% of Na 2 O, 2% -10% of K 2 O, 0% -5% of ZnO, 0% -10% of B 2 O 3 , 0% -5% of MgO, 0.5% -10% of CeO 2 and 0% -5% of R 2 O 3 , wherein R 2 O 3 comprises one or more of La 2 O 3 、Gd 2 O 3 、Y 2 O 3 . The glass provided by the application has the ultraviolet blocking rate of more than 98%, the refractive index nd of 1.50-1.75, the visible light transmittance of more than 91%, and the attenuation (2000 hUV irradiation) after aging of less than 0.5%, and is particularly suitable for manufacturing a cover plate of a satellite solar cell panel or vehicle glass.
