Description

Water-based composition containing menthol and preparation method and application thereof Technical Field The application relates to the technical field of daily chemical products, in particular to a menthol-containing water-based composition, a preparation method and application thereof. Background Menthol, a naturally derived terpene alcohol, has been an indispensable multifunctional additive for daily chemical products by virtue of its unique cooling sensation and fresh fragrance. In the oral care field (e.g., toothpastes, mouthwashes), menthol is a core ingredient that provides a refreshing mouthfeel and masks unpleasant odors. In shampoo, bath lotion and other washing products, it gives instant cool skin feeling and helps to promote the freshness of the products. In addition, in skin care products such as shaving creams, soothing gels, their cooling properties are used to alleviate skin discomfort. However, menthol as a lipophilic compound has extremely low solubility in water-based systems and is difficult to disperse stably. And meanwhile, menthol is easy to sublimate and volatilize, easy to crystallize at low temperature and easy to oxidize and deteriorate, and the stable structures of a thickening agent and a surfactant in a water-based system can be damaged, so that unstable problems such as layering, turbidity, crystallization, cooling sense reduction, odor variation, viscosity reduction and the like occur in a product, and therefore, menthol is difficult to directly and stably exist in the water-based daily chemical system. For example, in conventional shampoo and bath products, the higher level of fragrance is needed to solubilize the product in a high level surfactant system, and low temperature precipitation may also be a problem, and in systems without high levels of surfactant, such as shave gels or skin care gels, ethanol is needed to be added to allow the product to be incorporated into the formulation. Chinese patent CN107468609a provides a water-based system of a skin care composition, which is formed by combining a menthol-containing skin care composition, 1, 3-butanediol, a solubilizing agent, a cosolvent and water, and the resulting water-based system achieves the effect that menthol is not precipitated at low temperature (0-10 ℃). However, daily chemical products are often stored or used at a temperature below 0 ℃ and the test environment for stability is also generally between-15 ℃ and-18 ℃, so that the stability of the water-based system is difficult to meet the requirement. Disclosure of Invention Based on this, the present application provides a menthol-containing water-based composition, which stabilizes menthol in ethanol-free water-based systems, and which has good stability even when frozen (-15 ℃ to-18 ℃). In a first aspect of the application, there is provided a menthol-containing water-based composition comprising, in mass percent: 0.001-2% menthol, 5-40% Of propylene glycol, 0.2-10% Of solubilizer, 0.06-4% Of cosolvent, Aromatic alcohol 0.075% -2%, and 42% -94.6% Of water.
