The composition with the function of improving bone mineral density is characterized by comprising, by weight, 0.5-4.5 parts of D-glucosamine hydrochloride, 0.5-3 parts of calcium carbonate, 0.1-1.5 parts of chondroitin sulfate sodium, 0.5-2.5 parts of American ginseng extract, 0.2-2 parts of red sage root extract, 0.15-1.5 parts of white peony root extract and 0.1-1 part of turmeric extract.

The composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition comprises 1-2 parts by weight of D-glucosamine hydrochloride, 0.5-1.5 parts by weight of calcium carbonate, 0.1-1 part by weight of chondroitin sulfate sodium, 0.5-1 part by weight of American ginseng extract, 0.2-1 part by weight of red sage root extract, 0.15-1 part by weight of white peony root extract and 0.1-0.5 part by weight of turmeric extract.

The composition according to claim 2, wherein the composition comprises 1.5 parts by weight of D-glucosamine hydrochloride, 1.02 parts by weight of calcium carbonate, 0.5 part by weight of chondroitin sulfate sodium, 0.75 part by weight of American ginseng extract, 0.6 part by weight of red sage root extract, 0.45 part by weight of white peony root extract and 0.3 part by weight of turmeric extract.

- 6. The method according to claim 5, wherein the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or food product comprises pharmaceutically or food acceptable adjuvants or additives, including sorbitol, microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, magnesium stearate or silicon dioxide.
