A vertical spray washing tower for improving waste gas treatment efficiency in a cyclone diffusion mode comprises a vertically arranged tower body structure and a circulating liquid system arranged beside the tower body structure, wherein a spray mechanism and a packing layer are arranged in the tower body structure, and an air inlet section and an air outlet section which are communicated with the inside of the tower body structure are sequentially arranged on the side wall and the top end of the tower body structure.
