A four-chain conveyor with a storage function for railway wheel sets is characterized in that a railway vehicle section or a factory building (1) of a vehicle factory comprises wheel sets (2) and four-chain conveyors (3), each four-chain conveyor (3) comprises a left conveyor (3A) and a right conveyor (3B) which are staggered, parallel and equal in height, and two adjacent wheel sets (2) can be staggered and respectively stored and run on the left conveyor (3A) and the right conveyor (3B).
