The method for sliding the earthing storage tank in place is characterized by comprising the following steps of: s1, arranging installation positions of a soil covering storage tank on a sand bed, arranging rails which are axially parallel to the soil covering storage tank and symmetrically distributed along the central line of the installation positions at two sides of the installation positions, wherein one end of each rail extends towards the direction far away from the sand bed to form an extension part; S2, loading the earthing storage tank on a transport vehicle through a support saddle, transporting the earthing storage tank to the position above the extension part by using the transport vehicle, and connecting the front support connecting part with the track through a front sliding mechanism; S3, installing a crawler at the rear sliding mechanism, and pushing the earthing storage tank to slide above the installation position by using the crawler; S4, jacks are arranged between the front support connecting part and the front sliding mechanism and between the rear support connecting part and the rear sliding mechanism, and the earthing storage tank is adjusted by the jacks to enable the earthing storage tank to be installed and located at the installation position.
