Description
Ceiling-mountable system and method for mounting a ceiling-mountable system Technical Field The present application relates to a ceiling-mountable system and a method of mounting a ceiling-mountable system. Background The acoustic member for the ceiling is used for improving the indoor acoustic effect and the aesthetic appearance. Such components, in addition to their primary function as sound absorbers, are increasingly being combined with additional functions, such as integrated lighting. These acoustic members are typically mounted to the ceiling by slings or booms alone. Despite the flexibility of these conventional mounting solutions, there are drawbacks, in particular the difficulty of arranging a plurality of such components in a visually attractive manner. Systems for mounting acoustic panels (commonly referred to as "sound baffles") that employ clamping rails within which the acoustic panel is mounted along its edges are known. While these solutions enable a clean arrangement, there are also disadvantages in that the installation process is generally time consuming and costly and provides only limited flexibility in positioning or post-adjustment of the sound baffle. US 12173502 B2 discloses a ceiling suspension structure and a ceiling system. US 2023151607 A1 discloses a bracket for tilting a ceiling panel and a ceiling panel system. US 2013047041 discloses a suspended ceiling with parallel slats for a building structure. EP 2710297 B1 discloses a sound-absorbing luminaire. Disclosure of Invention The application aims to provide a ceiling-mountable system which enables tool-free installation and removal. The present application provides a ceiling-mountable system having the features of claim 1 and a method of installing a ceiling-mountable system having the features of claim 14. In a first aspect of the application, a ceiling mountable system comprises at least one stationary rail having a first profile portion extending in a longitudinal direction and a second profile portion extending perpendicular to the first profile portion, at least one functional element having a longitudinal extension alignable with respect to the stationary rail and provided with at least one recess on a side facing the stationary rail, and at least one mounting element; The mounting member has a first portion insertable into or connected to the recess and a second portion extending perpendicular to or away from the first portion, movable and/or rotatable relative to and connected to the first portion, and engageable with the fixed rail. In a preferred embodiment of the application there is provided a ceiling mountable system comprising at least one fixed rail having a first profile portion extending in a longitudinal direction and a second profile portion extending perpendicular to the first profile portion, at least one functional element having a longitudinal extension alignable with respect to the fixed rail and provided with at least one slot-shaped recess on a side facing the fixed rail, and at least one mounting element having a first portion being insertable into the slot-shaped recess in a form-fitting manner and a second portion extending perpendicular to the first portion, the second portion being movable with respect to and connected to the first portion and being engageable with the fixed rail. In a second aspect of the application, a method of installing a ceiling mountable system according to the application comprises the steps of: Arranging a ceiling fixture on a ceiling surface; Connecting the fixed rail to the ceiling fixture; Connecting the first portion of the mounting member into the recess of the functional member; Sliding the second part of the mounting member onto the second section of the fixed rail, and The second section of the mounting element is locked to the second section of the fixed rail. In a preferred embodiment of the application there is provided a method of installing a ceiling mountable system comprising the steps of arranging a ceiling fixture on a ceiling surface, connecting the fixture rail to the ceiling fixture, inserting a first portion of the mounting member into a slot-shaped recess of the function member, sliding a second portion of the mounting member onto a second profile portion of the fixture rail, and locking the second portion of the mounting member onto the second profile portion of the fixture rail. The idea of the application is to provide a ceiling-mountable function fixing system which enables a simple, tool-free installation and a flexible modular adaptation. Through set up special design's connection structure between function piece and fixed guide, can realize firm and the fixed of easily adjusting.
