A multi-break high breaking miniature circuit breaker according to claim 1, further comprising a secondary contact mechanism comprising a primary contact and a secondary contact, said secondary contact being arranged on one side of said primary contact and being electrically connected to said primary contact, said secondary contact being of resilient metal, being in contact with said primary contact during closing and being separated later than said primary contact during opening for preferentially withstanding arc ablation.
