Description
Yeast fermentation broth of salidroside for animal husbandry applications The present application claims priority from U.S. provisional application Ser. No. 63/730,188 filed on 10/12/2024, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field The present disclosure relates to animal husbandry applications, and in particular, to additives for use in animal feed formulations. Background During the growth and development of animals, energy, protein, amino acids, minerals and trace element nutrients are required. When the common feed can not meet the growth requirement of animals, the feed additive containing trace elements or other nutrient substances can promote the animals to grow rapidly. In addition, the additive can also improve the palatability of the feed, promote animal development, treat animal diseases and reduce production cost. The non-nutritional feed additive comprises microecological preparation, enzyme preparation, traditional Chinese medicine preparation and its extract. The plant extract has the ability to improve animal immune function and environmental stress response. However, from a process point of view, the components of the plant extract are relatively complex and difficult to produce due to the high extraction costs. Some components are difficult to obtain pure products, making large-scale industrial production impossible. From the perspective of product standards, the active ingredient content of medicinal materials of different varieties and different producing areas is different, and the extraction quality difference is large. Object and content of the invention Certain embodiments of the present invention relate to a feed additive comprising a fermentation broth of a microorganism strain. In certain embodiments, the microbial strain is a yeast strain. In certain embodiments, the yeast strain is Saccharomyces cerevisiae or a modified variant thereof.
