A levelling and spacing device for tiles, slabs or the like, arranged to cover or lay flat surfaces, of the type for levelling and spacing at least two adjacent tiles (P, P') from each other, said device comprising an elongated support or rod (2), said elongated support or rod (2) being adapted to be arranged between at least two adjacent tiles and to this end being equipped with a base (3), which base (3) is designed to be positioned under the edges of two adjacent tiles facing each other. The elongated body or rod (2) extends orthogonally from the base (3) and is equipped with means for gripping it by means of an external pressure and levelling body (10), the pressure and levelling body (10) comprising a structure equipped with means for gripping the elongated body or rod (2) rapidly and on demand, so that by the action of the pressure member (10) coupled with the elongated body or rod (2), the pressure body (6) is eventually brought into direct contact and pushes against the flat upper surface of the adjacent tile (P, P'). Coupling and centering means are envisaged which achieve a coaxial coupling between a portion of the frustoconical surface (8) and a portion of the coaxial frustoconical surface (9) of the structure of the pressure body (6), the task of which is to push the annular surface (11) of the pressure body (10) into contact with the upper surface portion of the tile edge by means of its own bearing surface (11), said annular bearing surface (11) being housed within the outer limit of the lower edge of the pressure body (6).

Description

Leveling and spacing device for tiles, slabs or the like Technical Field The present invention relates to a levelling and spacing device for tiles, slabs or the like, arranged to cover or lay flat surfaces, of the type for levelling and spacing at least two adjacent tiles from each other. The apparatus is of the type comprising an elongated support suitable to be arranged between at least two adjacent tiles and for this purpose provided with a base designed to be placed under the mutually facing edges of the two tiles, from which base an elongated body or rod extends orthogonally and is equipped with means allowing an external pressure and leveling body to grip it, the pressure and leveling body comprising a structure equipped with means for rapidly and on demand gripping said elongated body or rod. Background There are certain known prior art embodiments in which the pressure and levelling body has a lower edge which can be directly and integrally provided with a flat bearing surface designed to operate in direct contact with the upper surface portions of at least two adjacent tiles or to cooperate with a separate bearing member provided with a similar surface. The task of the flat support surface is to level, i.e. to align the upper flat surfaces of two or more adjacent tiles lying in the same plane when the support surface is pressed against the upper surface of the adjacent tiles, which flat support surface is arranged perpendicular to the central axis of the pressure body or support member, which support member likewise has a support surface arranged perpendicular to the central axis of the pressure body, by means of the reaction forces exerted on the lower surfaces of the tiles by the base. This operation is performed using a threaded connection, whereby the pressure body is screwed onto the thread provided by the elongated body or rod, with the result that the bearing surface of the pressure body ceases to contact and pushes against the flat upper surface of the adjacent tile. It is envisaged that the prior art embodiments in which a support is present have some negative aspects, the support not being integrally coincident with the lower surface of said lower edge, but being fixed thereto and free to rotate only in the axial direction. These aspects include a somewhat complex construction due to the coupling achieved between the support and the lower edge of the pressure body. Furthermore, the use of the support, which is fixed to the lower edge of the pressure body and even free to rotate with respect to the pressure body, may lead to drawbacks during the use of the device, in particular at the stage of removing the elements after leveling and spacing has been performed and the installation has been completed. Disclosure of Invention The aim of the present invention is to overcome the limitations of the prior art described above by means of a levelling and spacing device for tiles, slabs or the like, which is simple and quick to use and is equipped with coupling and centring means conceived between said pressure body and a support, and a support whose task is to come into contact with the upper surface portion of the edge of the tile (P, P'), as described below, as shown in the accompanying drawings and as described in the claims. Drawings Further characteristics and advantages of the levelling and spacing device envisaged by the present invention will appear more clearly in the following description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which: figure 1 shows an exploded isometric view; figure 2 shows a schematic cross-section taken according to the plane line A-A in figure 3 below; Fig. 3 shows a top plan view of fig. 2; figure 4 shows an exploded view of the levelling device, with the parts uncoupled, taking the same cross-section as figure 2, taken according to the plane line A-A in figure 3; Figures 5 and 6 show two isometric views, corresponding to two subsequent stages involving the insertion of the elongated element 2 when laying two adjacent tiles. Detailed Description With reference to the figures, P and P' denote two mutually adjacent tiles laid in succession to cover or lay flat surfaces, between which is interposed an elongated support or rod 2, which elongated support or rod 2 also acts as a spacer device and constitutes a component of the device 1. The elongated support or rod 2 comprises a base 3 designed to be placed under the mutually facing edges of two adjacent tiles P, the elongated support or rod 2 extending orthogonally from the base 3 and being equipped with means for gripping it by an external pressure body 6, the means being constituted by a threaded section 5, the pressure body 6 comprising a clamping member 7, the clamping member 7 being operable by pressure in order to freely assemble the pressure element 6 onto the threaded section 5 of the elongated support 2. By tightening the two halves
