  1. 1. A pharmaceutical composition with synergistic anti-aging effect is characterized by comprising dihydroquercetin and fisetin.

Background Senescence is a multifactorial, multifaceted, progressive biological process characterized by genomic instability, telomere loss, epigenetic changes, loss of protein homeostasis, mitochondrial dysfunction, cellular senescence, and chronic inflammation. Therefore, searching for strategies that can effectively interfere with the aging process, delay or ameliorate age-related diseases has become an important direction in modern biomedical research. Dihydroquercetin (Dihydroquercetin, also known as douglas fir element, taxifolin) is a dihydroflavonol compound extracted mainly from larch and other plants. A large number of researches prove that the dihydroquercetin has strong antioxidant activity, and can effectively remove free radicals, chelate metal ions, activate endogenous antioxidant enzymes and protect mitochondrial functions. In addition, it has been found to have various pharmacological activities such as anti-inflammatory, microcirculation improving, cardiovascular protection, and lipid metabolism regulating.
