Description
Composition for sebum secretion inhibition comprising camellia saponin Technical Field Disclosed herein is a composition for sebum secretion inhibition, which comprises camellia saponin as an active ingredient. Background Hair follicles consist of a variety of cells, with sebaceous gland cells and hair follicle stem cells present in the papilla cells and root of the hair bulb. Sebum secreted from sebaceous glands plays an important role in imparting moisture and luster to the skin, and protecting the skin from external microorganisms and the like. However, hypersecretion of sebum can be a cause of various skin diseases such as acne and head seborrheic dermatitis. In particular, sebum of the scalp is produced by the activity of sebaceous gland cells, and although sebaceous glands are known to be activated to secrete sebum under the influence of environmental factors and hormones, when heat-treated, it is unclear by what mechanism the sebaceous gland cells are activated to actually cause sebum secretion. Disclosure of Invention Technical problem In one aspect of the present disclosure, it is intended to provide a composition capable of inhibiting or preventing sebum-related diseases such as seborrheic dermatitis by inhibiting sebum secretion from the skin or scalp. Technical proposal In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a composition for sebum secretion inhibition comprising camellia saponin as an active ingredient. Effects of the invention In one aspect, the compositions according to the present disclosure may inhibit sebum secretion from the skin or scalp. In one aspect, the compositions according to the present disclosure may treat oily skin or oily scalp. In one aspect, the composition according to the present disclosure may prevent or ameliorate seborrheic dermatitis, head seborrheic dermatitis, or acne. In one aspect, the composition according to the present disclosure may promote pore shrinkage of the skin. Drawings Fig. 1 is a result of observing the sebum secretion inhibiting effect of a composition according to an embodiment of the present disclosure (hormone induced). Fig. 2 is a result of observing the sebum secretion inhibiting effect of a composition according to an embodiment of the present disclosure (induced by heat). Detailed Description Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail by the following examples. However, the following examples are provided for illustrative purposes only to aid in understanding the present invention, and the scope and scope of the present invention is not limited thereto. In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a composition for sebum secretion inhibition comprising camellia saponin as an active ingredient. In yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method of inhibiting sebum secretion, the method including the step of administering a composition including camellia saponin as an active ingredient. In yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a use of camellia saponin for preparing a composition for sebum secretion suppression. In yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a non-therapeutic use of camellia saponin for inhibiting sebum secretion is provided. In yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a camellia saponin for inhibiting sebum secretion is provided. In one embodiment, the sebum secretion can be thermally induced. According to the present disclosure, camellia saponin can suppress an increase in sweat discharge due to heat and an increase in sebum secretion as the most immediate symptom in an environment where tropical phenomenon occurs after undergoing warming. In one embodiment, the camellia saponin may be extracted from camellia oil meal. Camellia oil cake (Camellia japonica seed cake) refers to the residue discarded after oil extraction from camellia seeds. In one embodiment, the extract may be obtained from natural sources using extraction, separation and fractionation methods well known in the art, and may be extracted using various extraction or fractionation solvents and extraction methods. For example, the extraction solvent of the extract may use water, alcohol, or the like, which are well known in the art, and is not limited thereto.
