Description

Household appliance with a housing and a door unit Technical Field The present invention relates to a household appliance having a housing and a door unit. Background Light is an essential element in home appliances. The door unit or the device closing element is likewise a core element of the household device, which is often used and imparts a certain functionality to the device. Furthermore, the door unit of the home appliance is an element of the home appliance that the user first perceives. The light or optical element is used in particular for illuminating a receiving area of the household appliance or for visualizing different states or operating states of the household appliance. Further, a warning signal may be output by light. Light is also a feature that enhances the aesthetic value of the household appliance, draws attention, and/or is attractive to the user. DE102006053905A1 describes a lighting device on a washing machine, the door unit of which has glass or plastic components, which are carriers for inscriptions or symbols. The lighting device aims at improving the attention of these inscriptions on the components and achieving a greater diversity of their visual perception. The inscription achieves a striking effect in that a luminous body is arranged at a position opposite the lateral edge surface of the component, the light emitted by which is directed toward the edge surface, and the inscription consists of a three-dimensional structure in the component material, which structure has at least a microscopically small extension into the material. Through different designs of three-dimensional characters, different colors of incident light and control of light intensity, a wide design space is realized, and a special visual effect can be realized. EP3152352A1 describes a household appliance, in particular a washing machine, and a method for operating the same, which has a device for visualizing the process steps carried out therein. In particular, a lighting unit is assigned to the delivery disc, which is of annular configuration. Another lighting unit is assigned to the drum. Depending on the operating state of the household appliance, the two lighting units may interact. Disclosure of Invention The invention is therefore based on the task of providing a household appliance such that various modes of operation of the household appliance can be visually displayed, which provides a user-friendly interaction with the household appliance and enables a greater diversity of visual perceptions of the household appliance. This object is achieved by a household appliance according to the preferred embodiment. Other advantages and features will be apparent from the following description and drawings. According to one aspect of the invention, the object is achieved by a household appliance having a housing, wherein a control unit for controlling the household appliance, a receiving container for receiving items, and an appliance opening is formed in the housing, through which the receiving container is accessible.
