Abstract

The present disclosure provides an electronic device. The electronic device comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a display medium layer, a color filter layer and a visual angle barrier layer. The second substrate is arranged opposite to the first substrate and comprises a first surface facing the first substrate and a second surface facing away from the first substrate. The display medium layer is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate. The color filter layer is arranged between the display medium layer and the second substrate. The viewing angle barrier layer contacts one of the first surface and the second surface. And the thickness of the second substrate is smaller than that of the first substrate in the normal direction of the first surface.

Description

Electronic device Technical Field The present disclosure relates to an electronic device, and more particularly, to a display device having a viewing angle barrier layer. Background Electronic devices including display panels, such as tablet computers, notebook computers, smartphones, displays and televisions, have become an indispensable necessity for modern society. With the explosive development of such portable electronic products, consumers have high expectations for the quality, function, or price of these products. The functions of the vehicular audio-video system are increasingly abundant, and based on safety consideration, the display system of the co-driver seat needs to have a peep-proof function in a driving state so as to reduce interference driving, and the display system may need to share information with a driver in a non-driving state and needs to have a sharing display function. In recent years, a dual-view display (dual-VIEW DISPLAY) or a multi-view display (multi-VIEW DISPLAY) module is widely applied to a vehicle audio-visual system, and the dual-view display or the multi-view display module often adopts a view barrier layer, so as to realize the effect that a display can simultaneously present two or more different pictures or views. Generally, a dual-view or multi-view display technology, which is relatively easy to realize in terms of cost, is to attach a designed view barrier layer to the outside of a color filter substrate of a display. However, this approach does not perform well in terms of resolution for dual or multi-view displays. In addition, the use of the external-mounted visual angle barrier layer is difficult to realize high-precision alignment accuracy, thereby influencing the yield and the output of the process. In view of the foregoing, development of a structural design that can further improve the display performance of an electronic device is still one of the subjects of research in the industry. Disclosure of Invention According to an embodiment of the disclosure, an electronic device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a display medium layer, a color filter layer, and a viewing angle barrier layer.
