Abstract

A method for an off-field report and a TCI status includes deactivating, by a User Equipment (UE), at least one candidate Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) status associated with at least one Reference Signal (RS) based on at least one of determining that the UE has reported an off-field message for at least one RS corresponding to the Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) status, determining that a criterion for the off-field report is met for at least one RS, the UE has performed signaling to report the off-field message based on the determining that the criterion for the off-field report is met, determining that the UE has triggered transmission of the off-field report message based on the determining criterion for the at least one RS, the criterion for the off-field report is met for the at least one RS, or the UE reporting the off-field report information by excluding the at least one RS in the off-field report message.

Claims (16)

  1. 1. A user equipment, UE, apparatus comprising: At least one processor, and At least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the UE device to at least perform: deactivating at least one candidate transmission configuration indicator, TCI, state associated with at least one reference signal, RS, based on at least one of the following determinations: For at least one RS corresponding to a transmission configuration indicator, TCI, state, the UE device has reported an off-field message; Based on determining that criteria for an departure report are met for the at least one RS, the UE device has performed signaling to report the departure message, wherein the at least one RS corresponds to the at least one TCI state; Based on the criteria of an departure report determined for the at least one RS, the UE device has triggered transmission of the departure report message; The criteria of the departure report are satisfied for the at least one RS, or The UE device reports the departure report information by excluding the at least one RS in the departure report message.

The UE device of claim 1, wherein deactivating the at least one TCI state comprises at least one of: removing the at least one TCI state from the active TCI state list; Maintaining the at least one TCI state in the active TCI state list and not continuing to keep track of downlink DL time and/or frequency synchronization with the RS associated with the at least one TCI state, or The UE device is not required to continue and/or not to keep track of the DL time and/or frequency synchronization with the RS associated with the at least one TCI state.

Concerning departure report and TCI status Technical Field Various example embodiments relate generally to wireless networking and, more particularly, to configurations for conditional low-Level Triggered Mobility (LTM). Background Wireless networking provides significant advantages for user mobility. The ability of users to stay connected while mobile not only provides advantages to the users, but also provides greater efficiency and productivity for the entire society. As user expectations for connection reliability, data speed, and device battery life become higher, the technology for wireless networking must keep pace with this desire as well. Accordingly, there is a continuing interest in improving wireless networking technology. Disclosure of Invention According to some aspects, the subject matter of the independent claims is provided. In one aspect of the method, deactivation of the TCI state associated with the at least one RS is associated with a timer or time period for which an departure report condition is determined. In one aspect of the method, the timer is configured by the network, or the timer is configured for a predetermined period of time. A timer is started based on the UE determining that at least one of an departure report message has been generated, the departure report message has been successfully provided, the departure report message has been sent at least once, the departure report message has been acknowledged, the timer is started upon determining that the departure report criteria is met for at least an RS corresponding to at least one TCI state, or a predetermined number of time slots later than the time slot in which the above determination was performed. In one aspect of the method, the method further comprises determining to deactivate at least one TCI state when a predetermined number of the transmitted reports is reached. In one aspect of the method, the method further comprises performing periodic reporting when a reporting event has been triggered for at least one RS. In one aspect of the method, the method further includes transmitting, by the UE to the serving cell, an indication of the capability to support TCI deactivation for candidate TCI states based on the departure report information. In one aspect of the method, the indication further comprises at least one of a maximum number and/or a minimum number of candidate TCI states per candidate cell, or a maximum number and/or a minimum number of candidate TCI states across all candidate cells. In one aspect of the method, the maximum number of TCI states for deactivation based on the departure report can be configured by the network device. The UE deactivates the number of TCI states associated with the RS that was reported in the off-field report message.
