Abstract

The present disclosure provides an integrated circuit of a communication device. The integrated circuit includes circuitry configured to control reception of a trigger frame including a user field containing an association identifier 12, AID12, subfield and signaling indicating a plurality of resource units, RUs, and to control transmission of a trigger-TB-based physical layer protocol data unit, PPDU, transmitted using the plurality of RUs to an access point, the communication device being a station identified by the AID12 subfield, wherein two or several consecutive RUs of the same size are not allocated as the plurality of RUs if they happen to fit into a single RU of a larger size.

Description

Integrated circuit of communication device The application is a divisional application of an application patent application with the application number 202080074269.8, the application number of a communication device and a communication method for control signaling, and the application number of the application is 2020, 9 and 10. Technical Field The present disclosure relates to a communication apparatus and method for control signaling, and more particularly, to a communication apparatus and method for control signaling in an EHT WLAN (extremely high throughput wireless local area network). Background In the standardization of the next generation Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), new radio access technologies with backward compatibility with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax technology have been discussed in the IEEE 802.11 working group and named very high throughput (Extremely High Throughput, EHT) WLAN. In EHT WLANs, to provide significant peak throughput and capacity increases beyond 802.11ax high efficiency (HIGH EFFICIENCY, HE) WLANs, it is desirable to increase the maximum channel bandwidth from 160 MHz to 320 MHz, increase the maximum number of spatial streams from 8 to 16, and support multi-band operation. Furthermore, to improve spectral efficiency over 11ax HE WLAN, it has been proposed to allow multiple contiguous or non-contiguous Resource Units (RUs) to be allocated to a single communication device. However, there has been no discussion about the communication device and method for control signaling, and in particular about efficient signaling support for assigning one or more RUs to a single communication device in the context of an EHT WLAN. Thus, there is a need for a communication device and method that provides a viable solution for control signaling in the context of an EHT WLAN. Furthermore, other desirable features and characteristics will become apparent from the subsequent detailed description and the appended claims, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and this disclosure. Disclosure of Invention The non-limiting and exemplary embodiments facilitate providing a communication apparatus and communication method for control signaling in the context of an EHT WLAN.
