  1. 1. An apparatus for communication, comprising means for: if message 3 of an access procedure is not received in response to transmission of message 2 of the access procedure to an ambient internet of things AIoT device, enabling retransmission of the message 2 of the access procedure to the AIoT device, and Providing a first indication to the AIoT device, the first indication being an indication that retransmission of the message 2 of the access procedure is enabled at the apparatus.

Apparatus, method and computer program product for communication Technical Field Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to methods, apparatuses and computer program products and, in particular, but not exclusively, relate to message 3 failure indication in AIoT device random access. The method may include determining to enable retransmission of message 2 of the access procedure based on a predicted energy state of AIoT devices, a predicted energy state of at least one other AIoT device, or an urgency of an expected message from AIoT device. The method may include providing a trigger message for an access procedure to a AIoT device, where the trigger message includes a first indication. The method may be performed at an apparatus. The apparatus may comprise AIoT reader devices or the apparatus may be included in AIoT reader devices. In a second aspect, a method is provided that includes receiving a first indication from a reader device, the first indication being an indication that retransmission of message 2 of an access procedure from the reader device is enabled at the reader device, the retransmission being a retransmission of message 2 of the access procedure without receiving message 3 of the access procedure in response to transmission of message 2 from the reader device, receiving a second indication from the reader device, the second indication being an indication that message 3 of the access procedure has not been received at the reader device, determining that the second indication includes a retransmission of message 2 based on the first indication, decoding the retransmission of message 2 in response to determining that the second indication includes a retransmission of message 2, and providing message 3 of the access procedure to the reader device in response to message 2. The method may include receiving a trigger message from a reader device, wherein the trigger message includes a first indication. The method may be performed at an apparatus. The apparatus may be AIoT devices, the apparatus may include AIoT devices, or the apparatus may be included in AIoT devices. In a third aspect, there is provided an apparatus comprising means for performing the method according to the first or second aspect.
