OLEDs and hybrid displays are known for their excellent color reproducibility and thin form factors, making them well suited for use in mobile and wearable devices. Inorganic and micro LED displays offer high brightness, durability, and energy efficiency, making them attractive for large scale applications such as television and digital signage. Quantum dots and nano LED displays utilize quantum confinement effects to achieve excellent color purity and brightness. The electronic device may include one of these display devices and thus may include an active area that is activated in response to an electrical signal. The active area typically includes light emitting elements and may perform dual functions, display images, and detect external inputs such as pressure, thereby enabling the device to present information to a user while supporting interactive functions. The light emitting element may include an organic light emitting material or a quantum dot light emitting material, which is extremely susceptible to oxygen and moisture. Penetration of these substances may cause various defects to occur in the light emitting element. Accordingly, ongoing research is focused on developing encapsulation layers to protect these components from the environment.
