Description

Spatula The spatula is used for applying depilatory cream or wax. Typically, a user will apply depilatory cream or wax to the user's body using a spatula. The spatula may also be used to remove excess depilatory cream or wax from the user's body. The spatula may be stacked prior to packaging. Stacking the spatula may make it difficult to remove a spatula from the stack and reduce the packaging efficiency. For example, separating the blades from each other from the stack may be problematic. The present disclosure relates to a spatula that provides a user friendly design and efficient packaging process. According to the present invention, a spatula according to claim 1 is provided. Aspects of the present disclosure will also be described in detail, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 shows a spatula for applying a depilatory cream or wax; Figure 2 shows a spatula with a gripping portion for applying a depilatory cream or wax, and Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A of the spatula of fig. 1 and 2. Fig. 1 shows a spatula 2. The spatula 2 shown in fig. 1 comprises an elongated portion having a first end 4 and a second end 6. The first end 4 has a first width and the second end 6 has a second width. Width is defined as the dimension of spatula 2 in a direction perpendicular to the direction of elongation of spatula 2. In this example, the first end 4 is used for applying a depilatory cream or wax and the second end 6 is held by the user when applying the depilatory cream or wax. Fig. 2 shows a spatula 2 with a grip portion 10. In the example shown, the second end 6 comprises a grip 10. The grip 10 is configured to enable a user to more easily grasp the spatula 2. In the example shown in fig. 1 and 2, spatula 2 includes a curved outer edge 8. The curved outer edge 8 is configured to provide a surface for a user to apply or scrape depilatory cream or wax onto or off the skin. For example, the user may scrape off the depilatory cream or wax using the periphery of the curved outer edge corresponding to the outer edge of spatula 2. In the example shown, the spatula comprises one or more protrusions 12, which protrusions 12 are configured to separate one spatula 2 from another spatula 2 when the spatula is stacked. For example, the spatula 2 may be stacked during the packaging process. Stacking of the spatula 2 may make it difficult to separate the spatula 2 from each other. For example, the contact of the lower surface of upper spatula 2 with the upper surface of lower spatula 2 may result in difficulty in separating spatula 2. The addition of the protrusions 12 makes the spatula 2 easier to separate. Fig. 3 shows a cross-section of the spatula 2 shown in fig. 1 and 2. The cross-section shows that spatula 2 has a flat portion 14 and a curved outer edge 8. In the example shown, the curved outer edge 8 surrounds the flat portion 14. The cross-section shows the one or more protrusions 12 on the curved outer edge 8 and on the flat portion 14. In the example shown in fig. 1 and 2, the spatula comprises four protrusions 12. In one example, the height of the protrusions 12 is between 0.5mm and 1.5mm, such as 0.6mm and 1mm. In the example shown in fig. 3, the height of the protrusions 12 varies. For example, the height of the protrusions 12 at the flat portion 14 is greater than the height of the protrusions 12 at the curved outer edge 8. In one example, the height of the protrusions 12 varies from 1mm to 0.6mm. In one example, wherein the first width is between 15mm and 25mm, e.g., 18mm to 22mm, e.g., 20mm. The second width is between 12mm and 23mm, for example 15mm to 19mm, for example 17mm. In one example, the flat portion 14 has a width at the first end of 9mm to 11mm, for example 10.3mm. In one example, spatula 2 is made of PCR polypropylene. Spatula 2 may also be made of PP. In the above example, the spatula has a first width and a second width. In another example, spatula 2 may have a constant width. Further modifications and extensions may be made without departing from the scope of the invention described herein.
