Description

Fluid-driven medical handpiece, in particular a dental handpiece, and a fluid-guiding connection element for such a handpiece Technical Field The invention relates to a fluid-driven medical handpiece (Handst ucks), in particular a dental handpiece, for delivering a fluid medium, in particular air and water. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a flow-guiding connection element and to a medical handpiece, in particular a dental handpiece, having such a flow-guiding connection element. Background Fluid-driven medical handsets (particularly dental handsets) known in the prior art comprise a plurality of conduits through which different fluids (particularly air and water) are guided between a head portion of the handset and a coupling end for connecting a fluid source. These conduits extend through the handpiece body (which includes a hollow outer sleeve) and are typically located within the bore of the head portion protruding into the projection in the outer sleeve. One such handset is disclosed, for example, in patent application EP 4 190,274 A1. Each individual catheter is inserted into the curved handpiece body and each catheter is introduced into a corresponding hole in the protrusion of the head portion, which requires a significant amount of assembly effort. Disclosure of Invention It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an alternative solution for delivering media by means of a fluid-driven medical handpiece, in particular a dental handpiece. In particular, this alternative aims at reducing the assembly effort of fluid-driven medical handsets (in particular dental handsets) and preferably at reducing the manufacturing costs thereof. According to the invention this object is achieved by a flow-guiding connection element for a medical handpiece, in particular a dental handpiece, having the features of claim 1, a fluid-driven medical handpiece, in particular a dental handpiece, according to claim 12, a set of fluid-driven medical handpieces, in particular dental handpieces, according to claim 13, the use of the same flow-guiding connection element according to claim 14, and a method for manufacturing a flow-guiding connection element according to claim 15. Particularly advantageous embodiments are set forth in the dependent claims. The flow guiding connection element according to the invention is configured as a component of a fluid-driven medical handpiece, in particular a dental handpiece. The flow-directing connection element includes a first end face facing the head portion of the handset, a second end face facing the coupling end of the handset, a body extending from the first end face to the second end face, and a plurality of fluid lines extending from the first end face through the body to the second end face. The flow-guiding connection element, or the entire flow-guiding connection element with the first end face, the second end face, the body and the plurality of fluid lines, is formed as an integral part made of plastic. The flow-guiding connection element is thus configured as a separate, integrated component which can be introduced into a fluid-driven medical handpiece, in particular a dental handpiece. The flow guiding connection element can be installed in the mobile phone by only a few assembly steps, thereby advantageously simplifying the assembly process significantly. In particular, the arrangement of the flow-guiding connection elements enables all fluid lines to be installed into the handset in a single assembly step. Furthermore, the installation of the integrated flow guiding connection element into the handset advantageously reduces the overall weight of the handset. It is to be noted in particular that, in addition to the components of the flow-guiding connection element described above, one or more additional elements (for example positioning elements and/or tube sections protruding beyond the first end face or the second end face, see below) can also be integrally formed with the flow-guiding connection element and can be made of plastic. In this way, at least one additional element becomes an integral part of the flow-guiding connection element. The same advantages as described in the preceding paragraph are thereby achieved. Preferably, the flow guiding connection element is configured for mounting or being accommodated in a medical handpiece, in particular a dental handpiece. In particular, the flow guiding connection element is configured to be received in a hollow outer sleeve of the handset and/or the handset is configured to receive (in particular in a hollow outer sleeve) the flow guiding connection element. The mobile phone, in particular the outer sleeve, preferably completely encloses or encloses the flow-guiding connection element, so that it is not in direct contact with the surroundings when the flow-guiding connection element is accommodated in the mobile phone. The flow-guiding connection element, in particular the body
