Description
Portable cleaning station Technical Field The present invention relates to portable washing stations, and more particularly to a collapsible washing station that is compressibly stowable when not in use. Background After use, the vehicle or equipment typically requires cleaning to help maintain optimal conditions. The cleaning is typically performed at home or in a cleaning location such as a car wash. However, cleaning is also often required when away from home or general cleaning sites, for example when going out on vacation. The cleaning apparatus can be bulky, requiring hoses, accessories and cleaning fluids. Thus, it may not be practical to carry the cleaning device away. The invention provides a portable cleaning station, which enables cleaning equipment to be easily transported and compressed for storage when not in use. Prior Art U.S. patent application 2004/0195346 (MCINTYRE) discloses a portable washing station for assisting in washing an automobile. Chinese patent application CN110053653 (JUNJIAN) discloses a multifunctional trailer device with a collapsible flexible plastic tank. Chinese patent application CN210611302U (FANG) discloses a multifunctional folding box. Disclosure of Invention According to a first aspect of the present invention there is provided a portable washing station comprising a collapsible wheeled container having a base and a plurality of side walls configured to be in a first collapsed condition in which the base and side walls are parallel to one another and a second box condition in which the base and side walls assemble a storage box defining a top opening, an extendable handle provided on one side wall, and a reel provided on an outer surface of one side wall to receive a hose connectable to a water supply means. In this way, the portable washing station may be arranged in a compact configuration for easy transport and storage when not in use, and in a use configuration in which the tank container is assembled for storing the washing apparatus or alternatively for use as a water storage means when no water supply interface is available. The container is formed from the bottom and the side walls. Preferably, the container is formed as a rectangular open top box consisting of a rectangular bottom and four side walls extending upwardly from the bottom edge. Ideally, the base and side walls are made of a strong, durable and lightweight material, such as aluminum or synthetic plastic, or a combination of these or similar materials. Typically, the bottom includes at least one aperture that allows for drainage of water that may accumulate during the cleaning process. For example, the bottom may be a grid with a plurality of grooves to allow water to drain. In some preferred embodiments, the side walls have a concave-convex surface, such as including ribs, to provide additional strength to the substantially planar walls, and the concave-convex surface may also provide a support edge (ledge) for the inner tray. The container is wheeled to provide portability to the cleaning station. Preferably, the base, or one of the side walls, includes an axle supporting two wheels. In this way, the cleaning station can be tilted by means of the handle and moved with the wheels, whereas when not tilted, the cleaning station is very stable and does not roll away. Preferably, the axle is provided on an edge of the side wall corresponding to the side wall comprising the handle. In this way the cleaning station can be tilted and wheeled most easily. In some embodiments, the container has at least one leg in addition to the wheels to keep the cleaning station level/steady on the floor and to prevent the wheels from turning unless the cleaning station is tilted to engage the wheels. In a preferred embodiment, one or more of the side walls is formed by two or more connecting members. In this way, the side walls may be formed of smaller components that are easier to store in the folded configuration. The side walls and/or parts of the side walls are joined together to form the container. In a preferred embodiment, adjacent side walls are connected at the corners by at least one movable snap (displaceable clip). In some embodiments, the catch may act as a hinge such that adjacent side walls may pivot relative to one another while remaining connected. In another embodiment, the sidewalls are connected by a separable hinge. The side walls are adapted to support the base so that the base can engage the side walls or provide support for the base. For example, the inner surface of the side wall may include a raised portion providing an edge on which the bottom may be supported. The side walls may additionally or alternatively be connected to the base by hinges, snaps, or interlocks. In this way, the bottom and side walls of the container can be easily assembled and disassembled. In a preferred embodiment, the bottom is attached to one of the side walls by at least one hinge such that the bottom can pivot
