Description

Thermoplastic resin composition and process for producing the same Technical Field Cross Reference to Related Applications The present application claims the benefit of korean patent application No. 2023-013975, filed on the korean intellectual property office on the date 10/13 of 2023, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety. The present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition and a method for preparing the same. Background The diene-based graft polymer comprises a diene-based rubber polymer, and a shell comprising vinyl aromatic monomer units and vinyl cyanide-based monomer units grafted onto the diene-based rubber polymer. Diene graft polymers are superior to typical High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) in impact resistance, chemical resistance, thermal stability, colorability, fatigue resistance, rigidity, and processability. These properties enable molded articles made of a thermoplastic resin composition comprising a diene-based graft polymer to be used as automobile interior and exterior materials, office equipment, parts for various electric and electronic products, food containers, cosmetic containers or pharmaceutical containers. Recently, with the growing interest in sustainable development, studies have been made on using recycled resins obtained by recycling resin waste as raw materials for thermoplastic resin compositions. However, the recycled resin contains various impurities including foreign matters, thereby causing a decrease in impact strength when used as a raw material of the thermoplastic resin composition. Furthermore, the recycled resin is mainly provided in pellet form by extrusion processing, which results in a significant deviation of physical properties at the point in production compared to virgin resin in powder form. Accordingly, there is a need for a thermoplastic resin composition that provides improved impact resistance and reduced performance bias in production even when a recycled resin is used as a raw material. Disclosure of Invention Technical problem An aspect of the present invention provides a thermoplastic resin composition which exhibits excellent impact resistance and processability even if it contains a recycled resin as a component and is minimized in performance deviation at the point of production, and a method for producing the same.
