Abstract
The present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition, a method of preparing the same, and a molded article including the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition comprising 4 to 31% by weight of an alkyl acrylate-aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide graft copolymer (A-1) containing an alkyl acrylate rubber having an average particle diameter of 50 to 150nm, 1 to 22% by weight of an alkyl acrylate-aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide graft copolymer (A-2) containing an alkyl acrylate rubber having an average particle diameter of more than 150nm and 600nm or less, 55 to 77% by weight of an aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide copolymer (B), 7 to 12.5% by weight of a white pigment (C), and 3.5 to 8% by weight of a white pigment auxiliary agent (D) having an average particle diameter of 2 μm or less, a method for producing the thermoplastic resin composition, and a molded article comprising the thermoplastic resin composition. According to the present invention, there are provided a thermoplastic resin composition which maintains excellent physical properties of a conventional ASA-based resin, achieves high whiteness even if the input amount of white pigment is reduced, has excellent film processability, hiding power and gloss, has no protrusions on the surface of a sheet, has excellent appearance quality, and reduces manufacturing cost, a method of producing the thermoplastic resin composition, and a molded article comprising the thermoplastic resin composition.

Claims (14)
- 1. A thermoplastic resin composition comprising: 4 to 31% by weight of an alkyl acrylate-aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide graft copolymer (A-1) containing an alkyl acrylate rubber having an average particle diameter of 50 to 150 nm; 1 to 22% by weight of an alkyl acrylate-aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide graft copolymer (A-2) containing an alkyl acrylate rubber having an average particle diameter of more than 150nm and 600nm or less; 55 to 77% by weight of an aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide copolymer (B); 7 to 12.5% by weight of a white pigment (C), and 3.5 To 8% by weight of a white pigment auxiliary (D) having an average particle size of 2 μm or less.
- 2. The thermoplastic resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the white pigment (C) comprises one or more selected from titanium oxide (TiO 2 ), zinc oxide (ZnO), zinc sulfide (ZnS), lithopone, lead white, and lead oxide.
- 3. The thermoplastic resin composition of claim 1, wherein said white pigment auxiliary (D) comprises one or more selected from the group consisting of calcium carbonate (CaCO 3 ), talc, clay, barium sulfate (BaSO 4 ), aluminum hydroxide (Al (OH) 3 ), and silica (SiO 2 ).
- 4. The thermoplastic resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the white pigment auxiliary (D) has a refractive index of 1.70 or less.
- 5. The thermoplastic resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the weight ratio (C: D) of the white pigment (C) to the white pigment auxiliary (D) is 1:0.4 to 1:0.7.
- 6. The thermoplastic resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the graft copolymer (a-1) comprises 35 to 65% by weight of an alkyl acrylate rubber, 20 to 55% by weight of an aromatic vinyl compound, and 1 to 25% by weight of a vinyl cyanide, based on the total weight of the graft copolymer (a-1).
- 7. The thermoplastic resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the graft copolymer (a-2) comprises 35 to 65% by weight of an alkyl acrylate rubber, 20 to 55% by weight of an aromatic vinyl compound, and 1 to 25% by weight of a vinyl cyanide, based on the total weight of the graft copolymer (a-2).
- 8. The thermoplastic resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide copolymer (B) comprises one or more selected from the group consisting of an aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide copolymer (B-1) having a weight average molecular weight of 100,000g/mol to 150,000g/mol and an aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide copolymer (B-2) having a weight average molecular weight of more than 150,000g/mol and 200,000g/mol or less.
- 9. The thermoplastic resin composition of claim 8, wherein said thermoplastic resin composition comprises both an aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide copolymer (b-1) having a weight average molecular weight of 100,000g/mol to 150,000g/mol and an aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide copolymer (b-2) having a weight average molecular weight of more than 150,000g/mol and 200,000g/mol or less, wherein their weight ratio (b-1:b-2) is 2:8 to 4:6.
- 10. The thermoplastic resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the thermoplastic resin composition has a whiteness of 95.5 or more when the "L" value and the "b" value are measured in SCI mode using a colorimeter and their difference is calculated to obtain a whiteness (L value-b value).
- 11. The thermoplastic resin composition of claim 1, wherein the thermoplastic resin composition has a gloss of 82 or more measured at 60 ° according to ASTM D523 for a sheet having a thickness of 0.15 mm.
- 12. The thermoplastic resin composition of claim 1, wherein said thermoplastic resin composition has a Izod impact strength of 5.3kgf cm/cm or more, measured according to ASTM D256 on notched injection molded specimens (thickness: 1/4 ").
- 13. A process for producing a thermoplastic resin composition, which comprises kneading and extruding 4 to 31% by weight of an alkyl acrylate-aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide graft copolymer (A-1) containing an alkyl acrylate rubber having an average particle diameter of 50 to 150nm, 1 to 22% by weight of an alkyl acrylate-aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide graft copolymer (A-2) containing an alkyl acrylate rubber having an average particle diameter of more than 150nm and 600nm or less, 55 to 77% by weight of an aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide copolymer (B), 7 to 12.5% by weight of a white pigment (C), and 3.5 to 8% by weight of a white pigment auxiliary agent (D) having an average particle diameter of 2 μm or less at 200 to 300 ℃ and 100 to 500 rpm.
- 14. A molded article comprising the thermoplastic resin composition according to any one of claims 1 to 12.

Thermoplastic resin composition, method for preparing the same, and molded article comprising the same Technical Field Cross Reference to Related Applications The present application claims priority from korean patent application No.10-2024-0004867 filed at 1-11-2024 in the korean intellectual property office and from korean patent application No.10-2025-0000500 re-filed at 1-2-2025 based on the priority of the above patents, the disclosures of each of which are incorporated herein by reference. The present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition, a method of preparing the same, and a molded article including the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition which maintains excellent physical properties of a conventional ASA-based resin, achieves high whiteness even if the amount of white pigment is significantly reduced, has excellent film processability, hiding power and gloss, has no protrusions on the surface of a sheet, has excellent appearance quality, and reduces manufacturing costs, a method for preparing the thermoplastic resin composition, and a molded article comprising the thermoplastic resin composition. Background The acrylate-styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer (hereinafter referred to as "ASA resin") has excellent weather resistance, aging resistance, chemical resistance, rigidity, impact resistance and processability, and is used in various fields such as automobiles, construction materials and sundry goods. Recently, the main color of decorative sheets for furniture decoration is white, and high whiteness is particularly preferred. In order to achieve high whiteness, the amount of the expensive white pigment TiO 2 added to the ASA resin composition is increased, but beyond a certain amount, whiteness is only slightly improved even when the TiO 2 content is increased, with deterioration in impact strength, durability, and surface quality. Therefore, there is a need to develop a material which maintains excellent physical properties of conventional ASA resins, achieves high whiteness required in the market even with a reduced amount of white pigment input, and has excellent film processability, hiding power, gloss and surface quality. Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing the thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention. It is still another object of the present invention to provide a molded article manufactured using the thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention. The above and other objects can be accomplished by the present invention as described below. Technical proposal I) According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a thermoplastic resin composition comprising 4 to 31% by weight of an alkyl acrylate-aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide graft copolymer (A-1) containing an alkyl acrylate rubber having an average particle diameter of 50 to 150nm, 1 to 22% by weight of an alkyl acrylate-aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide graft copolymer (A-2) containing an alkyl acrylate rubber having an average particle diameter of more than 150nm and 600nm or less, 55 to 77% by weight of an aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide copolymer (B), 7 to 12.5% by weight of a white pigment (C), and 3.5 to 8% by weight of a white pigment auxiliary agent (D) having an average particle diameter of 2 μm or less.
