Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure relate generally to wireless communications. In some aspects, a User Equipment (UE) may transmit capability information associated with performing reciprocity-based communications in accordance with one or more sounding reference signals associated with one or more ports. The UE may receive at least one of an indication to perform a reciprocity-based communication, an indication to perform a codebook-based communication, or an indication to perform a combination of a reciprocity-based communication and a codebook-based communication measured from one or more channel state information based on the transmit capability information. Numerous other aspects are described.

Claims (20)
- 1. An apparatus for wireless communication at a User Equipment (UE), the apparatus comprising: one or more memories, and One or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the one or more processors configured, alone or in any combination, to cause the UE to: transmitting capability information associated with performing reciprocity-based communications based on one or more sounding reference signals associated with one or more ports, and At least one of an indication to perform a reciprocity-based communication, an indication to perform a codebook-based communication, or an indication to perform a combination of a reciprocity-based communication and a codebook-based communication measured from one or more channel state information is received in accordance with sending the capability information.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the UE to send channel state information measurements in accordance with receiving the indication to perform reciprocity-based communication, wherein sending the channel state information measurements comprises sending at least one of a channel quality indicator, a precoding matrix indicator, a rank indicator, or a reciprocity factor associated with an uplink channel and a downlink channel.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the UE to reduce a frequency of channel state information measurements or channel state information transmissions by the UE in accordance with receiving the indication to perform reciprocity-based communication.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the UE to reduce a frequency of sounding reference signal transmissions by the UE in accordance with receiving the indication to perform codebook-based communication.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein receiving the indication to perform reciprocity-based communication, the indication to perform codebook-based communication, or the indication to perform the combination of reciprocity-based communication and codebook-based communication comprises receiving a plurality of bits, wherein a first value of the plurality of bits indicates to perform reciprocity-based communication, a second value of the plurality of bits indicates to perform codebook-based communication, and a third value of the plurality of bits indicates to perform the combination of reciprocity-based communication and codebook-based communication.
- 6. The device of claim 1, wherein the indication to perform reciprocity-based communication is an indication to switch to perform reciprocity-based communication at a selected time slot of a plurality of time slots, or wherein the indication to perform codebook-based communication is an indication to switch to perform codebook-based communication at the selected time slot of the plurality of time slots.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the UE to perform one or more channel reciprocity measurements, wherein transmitting the capability information comprises transmitting the capability information according to the one or more channel reciprocity measurements, wherein the one or more channel reciprocity measurements comprise at least one of a distance measurement, a path loss measurement, or a transmission timing difference.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the UE to transmit a reciprocity indicator indicating a similarity between an uplink channel and a downlink channel.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein to cause the UE to transmit the reciprocity indicator, the one or more processors are configured to cause the UE to periodically transmit the reciprocity indicator according to an interval.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein to cause the UE to transmit the reciprocity indicator, the one or more processors are configured to cause the UE to transmit the reciprocity indicator aperiodically according to occurrence of an event.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the UE to perform codebook-based communication according to the reciprocity indicator having a value less than a first threshold, to perform reciprocity-based communication according to the reciprocity indicator having a value greater than a second threshold, or to perform the combination of reciprocity-based communication and codebook-based communication according to the reciprocity indicator having a value greater than or equal to the first threshold and less than or equal to the second threshold.
- 12. An apparatus for wireless communication at a network node, the apparatus comprising: one or more memories, and One or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the one or more processors configured, alone or in any combination, to cause the network node to: receiving capability information associated with a User Equipment (UE) performing reciprocity-based communication in accordance with one or more sounding reference signals associated with one or more ports, and At least one of an indication to perform a reciprocity-based communication, an indication to perform a codebook-based communication, or an indication to perform a combination of a reciprocity-based communication and a codebook-based communication measured from one or more channel state information is sent in accordance with receipt of the capability information.
- 13. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the network node to generate the indication to perform reciprocity-based communication, the indication to perform codebook-based communication, or the indication to perform the combination of reciprocity-based communication and codebook-based communication according to the capability information.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the network node to generate the indication to perform reciprocity-based communication, or to perform codebook-based communication, or to perform the combination of reciprocity-based communication and codebook-based communication without using the capability information.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the network node to receive a channel state information measurement in accordance with sending the indication to perform reciprocity-based communication, wherein receiving the channel state information measurement comprises receiving at least one of a channel quality indicator, a precoding matrix indicator, a rank indicator, or a reciprocity factor associated with an uplink channel and a downlink channel.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the network node to receive one or more sounding reference signals in accordance with transmitting the indication to perform codebook-based communication.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein transmitting the indication to perform reciprocity-based communication, the indication to perform codebook-based communication, or the indication to perform the combination of reciprocity-based communication and codebook-based communication comprises transmitting a plurality of bits, wherein a first value of the plurality of bits indicates to perform reciprocity-based communication, a second value of the plurality of bits indicates to perform codebook-based communication, and a third value of the plurality of bits indicates to perform the combination of reciprocity-based communication and codebook-based communication.
- 18. The device of claim 12, wherein the indication to perform reciprocity-based communication is an indication to switch to perform reciprocity-based communication at a selected one of a plurality of time slots, or wherein the indication to perform codebook-based communication is an indication to switch to perform codebook-based communication at the selected one of the plurality of time slots.
- 19. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein to cause the network node to receive the capability information, the one or more processors are configured to cause the network node to receive the capability information according to one or more channel reciprocity measurements, wherein the one or more channel reciprocity measurements comprise at least one of a distance measurement, a path loss measurement, or a transmission timing difference.
- 20. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the network node to receive a reciprocity indicator indicating a similarity between an uplink channel and a downlink channel.

No. 18/488,695, entitled "USER EQUIPMENT AND NETWORK NODE COORDINATION (user Equipment and network node coordination)" filed on 10/17 of 2023, and assigned to the assignee of the present application. The disclosure of the prior application is considered to be part of the present patent application and is incorporated by reference into the present patent application. Technical Field Aspects of the present disclosure relate generally to wireless communications and to techniques and apparatuses for user equipment and network node coordination. Background Wireless communication systems are widely deployed to provide various telecommunication services such as telephony, video, data, messaging, and broadcast. A typical wireless communication system may employ multiple-access techniques capable of supporting communication with multiple users by sharing available system resources (e.g., bandwidth, transmit power, etc.). Examples of such multiple-access techniques include Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) systems, time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) systems, frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) systems, orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) systems, single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) systems, time division synchronous code division multiple access (TD-SCDMA) systems, and Long Term Evolution (LTE). LTE/LTE-advanced is a set of enhancements to the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) mobile standard promulgated by the third generation partnership project (3 GPP). A wireless network may include one or more network nodes that support communications for wireless communication devices, such as User Equipment (UE) or multiple UEs. The UE may communicate with the network node via downlink and uplink communications. "downlink" (or "DL") refers to the communication link from the network node to the UE, and "uplink" (or "UL") refers to the communication link from the UE to the network node. Some wireless networks may support device-to-device communications, such as via local links (e.g., side Link (SL), wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) link, and/or Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) link, etc.). The multiple access techniques described above have been employed in various telecommunications standards to provide a common protocol that enables different UEs to communicate at a city, country, region, and/or global level. The New Radio (NR), which may be referred to as 5G, is a set of enhancements to the LTE mobile standard promulgated by 3 GPP. NR is designed to better support mobile broadband internet access by improving spectral efficiency, reducing costs, improving services, exploiting new spectrum, and using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) with Cyclic Prefix (CP) on the downlink (CP-OFDM), CP-OFDM and/or single carrier frequency division multiplexing (SC-FDM) on the uplink (also known as discrete fourier transform spread OFDM (DFT-s-OFDM)) for better integration with other open standards, and supporting beamforming, multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna technology, and carrier aggregation. As the demand for mobile broadband access continues to increase, further improvements in LTE, NR and other radio access technologies remain useful. Disclosure of Invention In some aspects, a method of wireless communication performed by a User Equipment (UE) includes transmitting capability information associated with performing reciprocity-based communication according to one or more sounding reference signals associated with one or more ports, and receiving at least one of an indication to perform the reciprocity-based communication, an indication to perform a codebook-based communication, or an indication to perform a combination of the reciprocity-based communication and the codebook-based communication, the codebook-based communication being measured according to one or more channel state information, according to the transmission of the capability information. In some aspects, a method of wireless communication performed by a network node includes receiving capability information associated with a UE performing reciprocity-based communication according to one or more sounding reference signals associated with one or more ports, and transmitting at least one of an indication to perform the reciprocity-based communication, an indication to perform a codebook-based communication, or an indication to perform a combination of the reciprocity-based communication and the codebook-based communication, the codebook-based communication being measured according to one or more channel state information, according to the received capability information.
