Abstract
The invention discloses a new application of Sargassum horneri polysaccharide in preparing a product for preventing or repairing skin photoaging caused by ultraviolet rays and endogenous DNA damage. Experimental researches show that the Sargassum horneri polysaccharide provided by the invention can reduce UV-induced oxidative stress and ROS accumulation, reduce apoptosis and cycle retardation, and relieve UV-induced DNA double-strand break damage, thereby realizing the dual effects of ultraviolet radiation protection and DNA damage repair, solving the defect that the existing sun-proof product can only passively protect, and also making up the defect that the existing repair product cannot repair DNA damage. The Sargassum horneri polysaccharide has definite physical and chemical characteristics, stable activity, no irritation of chemical synthesis components, excellent biocompatibility and suitability for long-term use, is derived from natural Sargassum horneri, is suitable for cosmetics and medicines, can provide safe and effective natural raw materials for daily skin photoprotection, can provide new treatment ideas and product selection for clinical skin photodamage prevention and treatment, and has wide market application prospect.

Claims (10)
- 1. The application of Sargassum horneri polysaccharide in preparing product for preventing or repairing skin photoaging and endogenous DNA injury caused by ultraviolet is provided.
- 2. The use according to claim 1, wherein the sargassum horneri polysaccharide consists of two main polysaccharides, one having a molecular weight distribution of 8-12 kda and the other having a molecular weight distribution of 3-6 kda.
- 3. The use according to claim 1, characterized in that the content of aldonic acid in the sargassum horneri polysaccharide is 15-20%, the content of sulfate radical is not less than 9%.
- 4. Use according to claim 1, characterized in that the ultraviolet radiation is UVA and/or UVB radiation.

The use according to claim 1, wherein said sargassum horneri polysaccharide is capable of reducing UV-induced oxidative stress and ROS accumulation, reducing apoptosis and cycle arrest, and reducing UV-induced DNA double strand break damage, thereby achieving dual efficacy of UV radiation protection and DNA damage repair.

The use according to claim 1, characterized in that the preparation method of sargassum horneri polysaccharide comprises the following steps: (1) Adding 1-3% acetic acid solution into Sargassum horneri powder, heating for extraction, filtering, collecting supernatant, centrifuging, filtering, and concentrating to obtain concentrated solution; (2) Adding absolute ethyl alcohol into the concentrated solution to enable the concentration of the ethanol to reach 30%, centrifuging, continuously adding absolute ethyl alcohol into the supernatant to enable the concentration of the ethanol to reach 80%, standing at 4 ℃ overnight, centrifuging, collecting precipitate, and drying to obtain the Sargassum horneri polysaccharide.
