Abstract

Experiments prove that the jerusalem artichoke extract has the effect of relieving ulcerative colitis. In particular, jerusalem artichoke extract can relieve intestinal structure injury, inflammatory cell infiltration and intestinal barrier injury caused by DSS induction, and has the function of relieving ulcerative colitis. Meanwhile, the invention discloses an anti-inflammatory effect of the jerusalem artichoke extract. In addition, jerusalem artichoke extract has intestinal flora regulating effect. In the technical scheme, the jerusalem artichoke extract obviously regulates the intestinal flora disorder induced by DSS. Jerusalem artichoke extract relieves intestinal dysbacteriosis of DSS induced mice, restores microbial community structure, and regulates metabolites thereof. The jerusalem artichoke extract has the advantages of simple extraction method, low cost, universality and easy mass production, and thus has good practical application value.

Claims (10)
- 1. Use of jerusalem artichoke extract in any one or more of the following: (a) Anti-inflammatory or preparing anti-inflammatory products; (b) Regulating the intestinal flora and its metabolites, and/or preparing a product regulating the intestinal flora and its metabolites; (c) Preparing a product for preventing and/or treating ulcerative colitis; Wherein the Jerusalem artichoke extract is ethanol extract of Jerusalem artichoke.

The use of claim 1, wherein in said use (a), said anti-inflammatory agent is characterized by in vitro anti-inflammatory and in vivo anti-inflammatory agents, wherein said in vitro anti-inflammatory agent inhibits expression of a pro-inflammatory factor in an inflammatory cell, promotes expression of an anti-inflammatory factor in an inflammatory cell, wherein said pro-inflammatory factor comprises IL-1 beta and IL-6, and said anti-inflammatory factor comprises IL-10; the inflammatory cells are in particular LPS-mediated inflammatory cells; The in vivo anti-inflammatory agents are embodied to alleviate compound-mediated localized swelling, more specifically, to alleviate xylene-mediated ear swelling, and carrageenan-mediated paw swelling.
- 3. The use according to claim 1, wherein in said use (b) the modulation of intestinal flora and its metabolic disorders is characterized by alleviating DSS-induced disorders of intestinal flora, restoring the structure of the microflora and modulating its metabolites.
- 4. The use according to claim 1, wherein in said use (c), said preventing and/or treating ulcerative colitis is characterized by alleviation of intestinal structural damage, inflammatory cell infiltration and intestinal barrier damage caused by DSS induction.
- 5. The use according to claim 1, wherein the products include, but are not limited to, food products, pharmaceutical products and feed products.
- 6. A method for preparing jerusalem artichoke extract, comprising: Crushing jerusalem artichoke, extracting with ethanol under reflux, concentrating to obtain ethanol extract concentrate, centrifuging, filtering to remove impurities, and drying.

The method of claim 6, wherein the ethanol reflux extraction is performed multiple times; further, the specific condition of the ethanol reflux extraction is that the crushed jerusalem artichoke is subjected to reflux extraction with 70-95% ethanol for three times in sequence, wherein the extraction time is 1-3h, and the extraction time is 7-10 times (preferably 10 times, g/mL), 4-8 times (preferably 6 times, g/mL) and 4-8 times (preferably 6 times, g/mL).
