Abstract

The sprayer boom mount may include a support post configured to be mounted on a vehicle. The sprayer boom mount may include a forwardly extending latch lever and a boom mounting bracket pivotally attached to the support post and spaced apart from the forwardly extending latch lever. The atomizer boom may be mounted to the boom mounting bracket. The boom mounting bracket may be latched in a selected pivotable position by placing a latch pin through aligned holes included in the forward extending latch lever and the boom mounting bracket. Thus, the spray direction of the atomizer boom can be adjusted to a preferred position.

Description

Sprayer spray bar mounting Technical Field The present disclosure relates generally to a sprayer stem mount. Background Various sprayer boom mounts have been developed for supporting a sprayer boom from a vehicle, each having its own set of advantages and limitations. Conventional sprayer boom mounts typically consist of a support post mounted on a vehicle, a boom mounting bracket pivotally attached to the support post, and a latch mechanism for securing the boom mounting bracket in a desired position. These conventional atomizer boom mounts lack the desired amount of adjustability provided by the present disclosure. In some existing sprayer spray bar mounts having multiple adjustment points, the latch mechanism includes a single latch pin that engages with a corresponding latch bar opening to secure the spray bar mounting bracket in place. While this design provides a simple and effective way of securing the sprayer spray bar, it can result in too much force being applied to the latch pin, thereby causing these conventional sprayer spray bar mounts to be prone to wear and tear over time, resulting in reduced reliability and potential safety issues during operation. Additionally, some existing spray boom mounts may include unnecessary and useless adjustability, which may be cumbersome and add complexity, which may result in higher manufacturing costs and maintenance requirements. None of these approaches provide an integrated solution that combines the features described in this disclosure. Disclosure of Invention This summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts in a simplified form that are further described below in the detailed description. This summary is not intended to identify key features or essential features of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended to be used as an aid in determining the scope of the claimed subject matter. The present disclosure relates to a sprayer boom mount that includes a support post, a boom mounting bracket, and a latch plate. The support post is configured to be mounted to a vehicle. The spray bar mounting bracket is configured to receive a sprayer spray bar. The support post includes a lower end configured to be mounted to a vehicle. The support column also includes a forwardly extending latch lever including at least one latch lever opening configured to receive the latch pin. The boom mounting bracket is pivotally attached to the support post and spaced apart from the forwardly extending latch lever. The spray bar mounting bracket includes a rearwardly extending mount for attachment to the sprayer spray bar and a forwardly extending arm for connection to the latch plate. The latch plate is pivotally attached to the forward extending arm of the boom mounting bracket. The latch plate includes a plurality of latch plate openings configured to align with the at least one latch rod opening and configured to receive a latch pin. By aligning different combinations of the plurality of latch plate openings with at least one latch rod opening, the spray rod mounting bracket can be placed in a selected pivotable position. Many objects, features, and advantages of the present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art upon a reading of the following description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
