The protective device for reducing splash and diffusion of spray, bacteria and aerosol during flushing of the closestool is characterized by comprising a blocking layer and a fixing part, wherein the fixing part is arranged along the edge of the blocking layer and is used for detachably fixing the blocking layer on the closestool, so that the blocking layer completely covers an opening of the closestool, a physical blocking layer is formed during flushing, and the spray, bacteria and aerosol generated during flushing are prevented from diffusing outwards.

  10. 10. The device of claim 1, wherein the securing portion comprises a velcro, a suction cup, a cleat, a snap, or a weight structure.
  11. 11. The device of claim 1, wherein the securing portion is removably coupled to a mating member provided on the toilet bowl.
