Description

Component for a lighting device of a motor vehicle, connection assembly and method for separating a connection assembly Technical Field The invention relates to a component for a lighting device of a motor vehicle, in particular a housing for a headlight or a taillight, to a corresponding connection assembly, in particular a connection assembly with a closing plate, and to a method for separating such a connection assembly. Background The lighting device of a motor vehicle (e.g., a headlight or a taillight) has a housing which is closed on the light exit side by a transparent or translucent closing plate. Typically, the housing and closure plate are made of thermoplastic and the connection assembly is formed by a plastic welded connection. For this purpose, the closure plate is, for example, provided with a circumferential welding bead which is welded to the joining section on the housing by means of a butt joint or a T-butt joint, for example by means of infrared, laser beam or hot gas welding or other processes. Disadvantageously, such connection assemblies cannot be separated afterwards, so that, for example, the opening of the lighting device from the front by removing the closing plate for maintenance or repair purposes cannot be achieved without damage. This also affects in particular the recyclability of the lighting device after the end of its operating life. It is desirable to provide as clean and efficient recyclability of the various components as possible. This also involves the separation of the closure plate from the housing, both of which are typically made of different plastics. Disclosure of Invention The object of the invention is to provide an alternative embodiment of a component for a motor vehicle lighting device of the same type and a connection assembly based thereon, which is distinguished by a practical separability, in particular for recycling purposes. This object is achieved by a component according to claim 1, a corresponding connection assembly according to claim 5 and a method for separating such a connection assembly according to claim 9. Advantageous developments of the invention are given in the dependent claims. The technical teaching of the invention discloses a component for a lighting device of a motor vehicle, in particular a housing of a headlight or taillight, comprising a joining section for forming a plastic welded connection with a joining section of a second component, in particular a closure plate, wherein according to the invention the joining section of the component has two welding ribs which are spaced apart from one another and extend substantially parallel to one another, such that a channel is formed between the welding ribs, which channel is provided for receiving a solvent. The invention is based on the idea that the channels are filled with a solvent, if necessary, and that the plastic welded connection and/or the weld bead is softened by the solvent, so that the component can be subsequently separated from the connection assembly with a small force. The component and the second component as the previous connection fitting can thus be separated again after the end of the operating life of the corresponding lighting device, so that in principle they can be used for a complete recovery process, in which case the contaminants remaining in the region of the joining section from the previous plastic welded connection have to be removed beforehand if necessary. Furthermore, such separability may also form the basis for (temporary) replacement of the components to continue operation of the lighting device. The weld bead is provided for end face welding and the channel is delimited by the sides of the weld bead. The channel width is especially adapted to the volume of solvent needed to achieve the desired softening. In addition, it may be necessary to adapt the viscosity of the solvent used. For example, the channels may have a channel width in the range of 0.5mm to 2mm and a channel depth in the range of 2mm to 5mm. For example, the joining section on the component is configured with a completely circumferential weld bead, so that the channel is formed between the outer weld bead and the inner weld bead. This is particularly advantageous for components which are designed as housings which are welded to the plastic of the closure plate as the second component and then sealed on the front side. In this configuration, the channels are surrounded in a medium-tight manner and isolated from the operating environment, so that no contaminants enter and clog the channels during operation of the corresponding lighting device. Preferably, the joining section has at least one access region with a through-hole or in particular with a region of reduced material thickness in the form of a film, so that the channel can be accessed or opened via the access region. For injection of the solvent, for example by means of a cannula, the cannula can be introduced from the outside
