Description

Display panel manufacturing apparatus Technical Field The present disclosure relates to display panel manufacturing apparatuses, and more particularly, to a display panel manufacturing apparatus that transfers light emitting elements (or LEDs) onto a display panel. Background Recently, a display device including a Light Emitting Diode (LED) (hereinafter, referred to as a "light emitting element") is attracting attention as a next-generation display device. Since the light emitting element is not provided with an organic material but with an inorganic material, it can emit light faster than a liquid crystal display device or an organic light emitting display device, has excellent light emitting efficiency, and displays a high-luminance image. These light emitting elements are attached to the donor member in a tethered configuration as an encapsulation unit during the transfer process. When the tether structure is disconnected, the light emitting elements connected with the tether structure are detached from the donor member as an encapsulation unit and transferred to the display panel through the transfer member. However, if all of the tethers are not broken at the same time when the light emitting element is detached from the donor member, this may result in a problem situation in which the side portions of the package or the light emitting element are damaged, or misalignment occurs between the transfer member and the light emitting element. Disclosure of Invention In view of the above, in order to solve the above-described drawbacks, the inventors of the present disclosure have invented a display panel manufacturing apparatus that prevents a light emitting element from being damaged when detached from a donor member during transfer. An object to be achieved according to embodiments of the present disclosure is to provide a display panel manufacturing apparatus that can prevent damage to a light emitting element package by enabling a light emitting element to be easily detached from a donor member during a transfer process without being damaged, and without misalignment occurring between the transfer member and the light emitting element. The objects of the present invention are not limited to the above objects, and other objects and advantages of the present invention, which are not mentioned, will be understood from the following description, and will be more clearly understood from the embodiments of the present invention. Furthermore, it will be readily understood that the objects and advantages of the present disclosure may be realized by the means presented in the claims, and combinations thereof. The display panel manufacturing apparatus according to the embodiment of the present disclosure may pick up a plurality of light emitting elements from a donor member in which the plurality of light emitting elements connected to each other through a tether structure are disposed through a transfer member without causing any damage to them by configuring the tether to be easily broken and forming a plurality of protrusions on a substrate to support the light emitting elements during the pick-up process. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, an effect of preventing damage to the light emitting element can be produced by restricting a movement displacement of the light emitting element by the protrusion structure when the transfer member picks up the light emitting element during the transfer process of the light emitting element. In addition, according to the embodiments of the present disclosure, an effect of improving transfer accuracy and thus preventing panel defects can be produced by preventing damage to the light emitting element during the transfer process. In addition, according to the embodiments of the present disclosure, improvement in quality of the display device may be achieved by preventing damage to the light emitting element or panel defect. In addition, according to the embodiments of the present disclosure, it is possible to prevent a reduction in the lifetime of the display panel by reducing defects in the display panel. In addition, according to the embodiments of the present disclosure, it is possible to produce an effect of providing a long-life, low-power display device by preventing a panel defect and thus allowing a display panel to operate without malfunction. The present disclosure may have other effects than the above-described effects, which will be apparent to those skilled in the art from the following description. In addition to the effects described above, specific effects of the present invention and specific details for practicing the present invention will be described below.
