Description

Disposable aerosol delivery device Technical Field The present disclosure relates to a disposable aerosol delivery device. Background Certain tobacco industry products produce aerosols that are inhaled by the user during use. For example, a tobacco heating device heats an aerosol-generating substrate, such as tobacco, to form an aerosol by heating, but not incinerating, the substrate. Such tobacco industry products typically include a mouthpiece through which the aerosol passes to reach the mouth of the user. Disclosure of Invention According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a disposable aerosol delivery device comprising a housing having a first portion defining a battery compartment within the housing to power the device, and a second portion comprising a liquid reservoir, wherein the first and second portions of the housing are connected to one another, and wherein the first and second portions are configured to effect their irreversible separation. The first portion may include control circuitry to operate the device. The second portion may include a heater and a liquid flow path for liquid to flow from the reservoir to the heater. The second portion may include a vapor flow path for vaporized liquid from the heater out of the device. The disposable aerosol delivery device may comprise a battery in a battery compartment, and the first portion and the second portion may be configured such that the battery is removable from the battery compartment when the first portion and the second portion are irreversibly separated. The housing may include a breakable zone, which when broken, may be capable of separating into the first portion and the second portion. The breakable zone may be configured to break in response to the application of a breaking force on either side of the breakable zone. The breakable zone may be configured to break in response to the application of a relative rotational force on either side of the breakable zone. The breakable zone may include lines of weakness to facilitate breaking of the breakable zone. The breakable zone may comprise a tear-open strip. The disposable aerosol delivery device may comprise an outer package surrounding the housing, the first portion and the second portion may be irreversibly separable by unwrapping the outer package. The disposable aerosol delivery device may include terminals in the housing that are in electrical contact with corresponding terminals on a battery received in the battery compartment. The housing may be configured such that when the first and second portions are separated, the electrical connection is irreversibly broken. When the breakable region breaks, the electrical connection may irreversibly break. The battery may be non-rechargeable. Drawings Embodiments of the invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: fig. 1 is a schematic view of a disposable aerosol delivery device according to an embodiment of the present invention. Detailed Description As used herein, the term "delivery system" is intended to encompass a system that delivers at least one substance to a user, and includes: A non-combustible aerosol-providing system that releases a compound from an aerosol-generating material without burning the aerosol-generating material, such as an electronic cigarette, a tobacco heating product, and a hybrid system that generates an aerosol using a combination of aerosol-generating materials. According to the present disclosure, a "non-combustible" aerosol-providing system is a system in which the aerosol-generating material component of the aerosol-providing system (or a component thereof) is not combusted or burned in order to facilitate delivery of at least one substance to a user. In some embodiments, the delivery system is a non-combustible aerosol provision system, such as an electric non-combustible aerosol provision system. In some embodiments, the non-combustible aerosol provision system is an electronic cigarette, also known as an electronic cigarette device or electronic nicotine delivery system (END), but it is noted that the presence of nicotine in the aerosol generating material is not a requirement. In some embodiments, the non-combustible aerosol provision system is an aerosol-generating material heating system, also known as a heated non-incinerating system. An example of such a system is a tobacco heating system. In some embodiments, the non-combustible aerosol provision system is a hybrid system that generates an aerosol using a combination of aerosol-generating materials, one or more of which may be heated. Each of the aerosol-generating materials may be, for example, in the form of a solid, liquid or gel, and may or may not comprise nicotine. In some embodiments, the mixing system comprises a liquid or gel aerosol-generating material and a solid aerosol-generating material. The solid aerosol-generating material may comprise, for e
