Description
Composition for caring for and/or making up keratin materials Technical Field The present invention relates to a composition for caring for and/or making up keratin materials. More particularly, the present invention relates to compositions for caring for and/or making up the lips. The invention also relates to a non-therapeutic method for caring for and/or making up keratin materials. Background Lipsticks have been used for many years to enhance the positive aspects of the lips of users. Lipstick can change facial features visible to the user. In addition to changing the shape of the lips, the lipstick may be made in various colors and hues to promote a desired effect or to express the emotion of the user. To date, some prior art documents have been published concerning cosmetic compositions for making up and/or caring for the skin and/or lips. Lipsticks that provide a matte cosmetic effect are favored by consumers. For most matte lipsticks, an oil absorbing filler and silicone elastomer are used to create a matte, smooth effect to evenly color the entire lip without color differences. For some lipsticks used to provide a matte effect on the lips, some of them are prone to breaking or are too soft, and some are too dry, which is undesirable. Thus, there is a need to develop a lipstick that is not frangible or too soft and that is capable of providing a matte, uniformly colored, oil-free and dry cosmetic effect. Disclosure of Invention It is therefore an object of the present invention to develop a lipstick which is not frangible or too soft and which is capable of providing a matt, uniformly coloured, oil-free and dry cosmetic effect. It is another object of the present invention to provide a non-therapeutic method for caring for and/or making up the lips which does not tend to break or become too soft and which is capable of providing a matt, uniformly coloured, non-oily and non-dry make-up effect. Thus, according to a first aspect, the present invention provides a composition, preferably for caring for and/or making up keratin materials, comprising: a) At least one silicone elastomer resin; b) At least one hydrophobic silica, and C) At least one sugar ester selected from the group consisting of C 1-C30 monoesters and polyesters of sugar. The inventors have found that in the case of the combination of components a) to c) described above, the composition according to the invention does not tend to break off or is too soft and is capable of providing a matt, homogeneously coloured, oil-free and dry cosmetic effect. According to a second aspect, the present invention provides a non-therapeutic method for caring for and/or making up keratin materials, comprising the application to the keratin materials of a composition as described above. Other subject matter and features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent upon reading the following description and examples.
