Claims (11)
- 1. A cover (23.1, 23.2) for a seat element (15, 16), characterized in that it comprises: -at least one overlapping cover (44), the at least one overlapping cover (44) being made of a flexible material for at least partially covering the structure of the seat element (15, 16), and At least one elongated mounting plate (51) arranged along an edge of the overlap cover (44) to facilitate mounting of the overlap cover (44) on or around a structure of the seat element (15, 16), -The cover (23.2) is a backrest bottom cover for covering the rear of the backrest structure (22), the backrest bottom cover (23.2) comprising at least one mounting plate (51) and fastening tabs (58) for cooperation with fastening members (40) on the front of the backrest structure (22).
- 2. The cover according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises at least one sheath (52) in which at least one mounting plate (51) is arranged.
- 3. The cover according to claim 2, wherein the sheath (52) has self-fastening strips (55) arranged on the outer face of the sheath (52).
- 4. The cover according to claim 1, characterized in that the mounting plate (51) is stitched to the overlapping cover (44).
- 5. The cover according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the mounting plate (51) is made of metal or plastic material.
- 6. The cover according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the mounting plate (51) has a rectilinear shape.
- 7. The cover according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the mounting plate (51) has at least one curved portion for adapting the shape of the seat element (15, 16).
- 8. The cover according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the cover (23.1) is a back cover comprising at least a first mounting plate (51) and a second mounting plate (51), the first mounting plate (51) extending along a side strap (47.1) of the cover and intended to be attached along a first upright (29.1) of a back structure (22) via at least a first fastening strap (34.1), the second mounting plate (51) extending along a side strap (47.2) of the cover and intended to be attached along a second upright (29.2) of the back structure (22) via at least a second fastening strap (34.2).
- 9. An aircraft seat comprising at least one seat element (15, 16) and at least one cover (23.1, 23.2) as defined in any one of the preceding claims.
- 10. The aircraft seat according to claim 9, characterized in that the aircraft seat comprises a backrest structure (22), the backrest structure (22) comprising a first upright (29.1) and a second upright (29.2) parallel to each other, at least a first fastening strap (34.1) extending along the first upright (29.1) and at least a second fastening strap (34.2) extending along the second upright (29.2) for attaching a backrest cover (23.1).

Aircraft seat according to claim 9 or 10, characterized in that it further comprises a fastening member (40) fixed to the front face of the support wall (33) and a slot (41) located in the vicinity of the fastening member (40), through which slot (41) the fastening tab (58) of the backrest bottom cover (23.2) cooperates with the fastening member (40).
Description
Element for a seat cover suitable for quick installation Technical Field The present invention relates to an element for a seat cover adapted for quick installation. The invention finds a particularly advantageous application in the field of aviation with aircraft seats, in particular economy class aircraft seats. However, the invention may also be implemented in a business class aircraft seat or any other type of aircraft. Background In a manner known per se, an aircraft seat comprises a seat structure which is equipped with legs carrying fasteners for fixing the seat to a track in an aircraft cabin. The seat can be a single seat, in particular a business class seat, or a multi-seat, economy class seat. Each seat includes a seating floor, a backrest, and a headrest. Each of the seat pan and backrest is typically covered with a cover. Covering the economy class seat with a cover is a lengthy operation. In practice, it is time consuming to mount the cover on the backrest structure, requiring approximately 10 minutes for the cover fabric to be adjusted and evenly distributed on the backrest. Disclosure of Invention The object of the present invention is to effectively remedy this drawback by providing a cover for a seat element, said cover comprising: -at least one overlapping cover made of a flexible material for at least partially covering the structure of the seat element, and -At least one elongated mounting plate arranged along an edge of the overlay cover to facilitate mounting the overlay cover on or around a structure of the seat element. The present invention thus allows to reduce the time required to mount the cover to less than three minutes by ensuring a uniform and automatic adjustment of the cover due to stiffening of the edge of the cover, thanks to the presence of one or more mounting plates. The invention also reduces the risk of musculoskeletal diseases during installation of the cover to the seat. The invention thus results in a significant reduction in production costs and in an aesthetic improvement, due to a more precise adjustment of the cover on the seat element. The weight of the entire assembly is also advantageously reduced. According to one embodiment of the invention, the cover comprises at least one sheath in which the at least one mounting plate is arranged. According to one embodiment of the invention, the sheath includes self-fastening (self-gripping) fastening strips on an outer face of the sheath. According to one embodiment of the invention, the mounting plate is sewn to the overlay cover. According to one embodiment of the invention, the mounting plate is made of a metal or plastic material. According to one embodiment of the invention, the mounting plate has a rectilinear shape. According to one embodiment of the invention, the mounting plate has at least a portion with a curved shape that fits the shape of the seat element. According to one embodiment of the invention, the cover is a backrest cover comprising at least a first mounting plate extending along a side strap of the cover and intended to be fixed along a first upright of the backrest structure via at least a first fastening strap and a second mounting plate extending along a side strap of the cover and intended to be fixed along a second upright of the backrest structure via at least a second fastening strap. According to one embodiment of the invention, the cover is a backrest bottom cover for covering the rear face of the backrest structure, the backrest bottom cover comprising at least one mounting plate and fastening tabs (tabs) for cooperation with fastening members on the front face of the backrest structure. The invention also relates to an aircraft seat comprising at least one seat element and at least one cover as described above. According to one embodiment of the invention, the aircraft seat comprises a backrest structure comprising a first upright and a second upright parallel to each other, at least a first fastening strap extending along the first upright and at least a second fastening strap extending along the second upright for securing a backrest cover. According to one embodiment of the invention, the aircraft seat further comprises a fastening member fixed to the front face of the support wall and a slot located in the vicinity of the fastening member through which the fastening tab of the backrest bottom cover cooperates with the fastening member.
