Description
Thermally insulated container with drawer Technical Field The present disclosure relates generally to insulated containers with drawers. Background Portable insulated containers such as coolers allow items such as beverages and foods to remain cold outdoors, in a vehicle, or otherwise outside a refrigerator or freezer. Portable coolers typically have an insulated interior cavity in which a coolant (such as ice or a reusable cooling pack) is placed to assist in cooling the items in the cooler. When the coolant thaws or melts, the coolant itself and/or condensation from the coolant may cause the items in the cooler to become wet. Wetting of the article may result in one or more undesirable effects such as undesirably wetting the article, making the article difficult and/or messy to handle unless cleaned with towels or other materials, damaging the paper packaging of the article, and the like. Disclosure of Invention Various systems, devices, and methods for an insulated container with drawers are provided. In one aspect, an insulated container is provided that in one embodiment includes a main compartment and a drawer compartment. The main chamber is configured to receive a coolant therein, the coolant configured to cool one or more first articles removably received in the main chamber. The drawer chamber is separate from and vertically disposed below the main chamber, and is configured to slidably receive a drawer therein, the drawer being configured to removably receive one or more second items therein. The insulated container also includes left, right, front and rear side walls defining walls of the main chamber. The insulated container further includes a horizontal, substantially planar wall separating the main chamber and the drawer chamber, configured to allow coolant in the main chamber to cool the one or more second items contained in the drawer, integrally formed with the left, right, front and rear side walls, having a thickness in the range of about 2.5 to about 3.5mm, and formed from polypropylene. In addition, the plurality of ribs may form a hexagonal pattern. For another example, the insulated container may further include a vertical, substantially planar first dividing wall extending at least a portion of a distance from the rear to the front and configured to provide load bearing support to the horizontal, substantially planar wall. Furthermore, the insulated container may further comprise a drawer, and in the event that the drawer is slid fully into the drawer compartment, a rearward facing surface of the drawer may be configured to abut a forward facing surface of the vertical substantially planar first divider wall, and/or the vertical substantially planar first divider wall may be laterally centered. Furthermore, the insulated container may further comprise a vertical substantially planar second dividing wall extending vertically in the main chamber to divide the main chamber into a first compartment and a second compartment, and the vertical substantially planar first dividing wall may be below and vertically aligned with the vertical substantially planar second dividing wall. Furthermore, the vertical substantially planar first partition wall and the vertical substantially planar second partition wall may be laterally centered. For yet another example, the insulated container may further include a drawer, and the insulated container may further include a lock configured to be manually moved by a user between a locked configuration in which the lock prevents the drawer from sliding out of the drawer chamber and an unlocked configuration in which the lock allows the drawer to slide at least partially out of the drawer chamber. Further, the movement may be a vertical movement or the movement may be a horizontal movement. For yet another example, the insulated container may further include a drawer that may include a handle on a front surface thereof, and the drawer compartment may be sealed closed with the drawer slid completely into the drawer compartment. For yet another example, each of the left side wall, the right side wall, the front side wall, and the rear side wall may have a thickness in a range of about 2.5 to about 3.5mm, and may be formed of polypropylene.
