Description

Management of uplink/downlink transmissions Technical Field Examples of the present disclosure relate to managing uplink UL and/or downlink DL transmissions. Various examples provide an apparatus, method, system, and computer program for managing UL and/or DL transmission sessions. Some examples (although not affecting the foregoing) relate to enabling an energy harvesting EH device to temporarily suspend a hybrid automatic repeat request, HARQ, process. Background Conventional systems for managing UL and/or DL transmissions, such as conventional HARQ processes, are not always optimal. In some cases, it can be desirable to improve management of UL and/or DL transmissions. In some cases, it can be desirable to improve spectrum usage efficiency for UL and/or DL transmission sessions and avoid redundant transmissions. In some cases, it can be desirable to reduce the risk of radio link failure, RLF, during UL and/or DL transmission sessions. In some cases, it can be desirable to reduce the energy consumption and the risk of energy exhaustion of the UE during UL and/or DL transmission sessions.
