- 2. The packaging system of claim 1, wherein the tray includes an underside having a recess formed therein between the main panel and each of the plurality of tabs.
- 3. The packaging system of claim 2, wherein each groove comprises opposing walls angled relative to each other.
- 4. A packaging system according to claim 3, wherein the opposing walls are at an angle relative to each other, the angle enabling the plurality of flaps to be folded to a predetermined angle relative to the main panel.
- 5. The packaging system of claim 1, wherein opposite ends of each of the plurality of fins include a chamfer.
- 6. The packaging system of claim 5, wherein the chamfer is angled to enable ends of adjacent flaps to form a seam such that the adjacent flaps are oriented at a predetermined angle relative to each other.
- 7. The packaging system of claim 1, wherein the tray is a unitary component.
- 8. The packaging system of claim 1, wherein the tray is formed of a moldable material.
- 9. The packaging system of claim 1, wherein a size of each of the plurality of fins is equal to a size of the plurality of walls.
- 10. The packaging system of claim 9, wherein the size of the tab is a distance between a groove formed in the tray and an outer edge of the tab, and the size of the wall is a height of the outer surface of the wall.
- 11. The packaging system of claim 1, wherein the plurality of flaps cover all or a majority of the exterior surface of the plurality of wall panels.
- 12. A packaging system comprising a base box assembly and a lid, The base box assembly includes a base box and a one-piece molded tray, The base box has a plurality of walls defining an interior space, each of the plurality of walls having an exterior surface and an upper edge, and The one-piece molded tray is attached to the base box, the tray comprising a main panel, a plurality of flaps and a plurality of folds, The main panel includes a planar portion and a recess, The planar portion resting on the upper edges of the plurality of walls of the base box, and The recess extends at least partially into the interior space of the base box; The plurality of fins extending from the main panel and attached to the exterior surfaces of the plurality of walls, and The plurality of folds being formed between the main panel and the plurality of flaps, and The lid has a top panel and a plurality of wall panels that cooperate to form an interior space, the interior space of the lid being configured to at least partially receive the base box assembly therein.
- 13. The packaging system of claim 12, wherein the tray includes a recess formed therein between the main panel and each of the plurality of tabs.
- 14. The packaging system of claim 13, wherein the groove facilitates forming the plurality of folds.
- 15. The packaging system of claim 12, wherein the recess is configured to receive a product therein for packaging within the packaging system.
- 16. The packaging system of claim 12, wherein the plurality of flaps cover all or a majority of the exterior surface of the plurality of wall panels.
Description
Packaging system Cross Reference to Related Applications The present application claims the benefit and priority of U.S. provisional patent application serial No. 63/571,700, filed on 3/29 at 2024, entitled "PACKAGING SYSTEM (packaging system)", which is expressly incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
